Motivating and well-equipped teachers. The administrative side of signing up was a breeze as well. I highly recommend the school here in New Brunswick, especially since they follow standards of the CEFR curriculum.
I have started taking their online classes..Thoroughly enjoy their classes. There are still a long way to go to master the language.. I went from not able to speak or read in french. Now, I am able to grasp some key concepts from conversation in french now and able to carryout simple conversation in french. Thanks to the professionalism of their instructors that would explain the rules of the french language. In addition, they made learning interesting and would sometime include part of the culture as well. I would highly recommend this place if you are interested in learning french.
I've been taking my French class at Alliance Française since April of 2023, I've gone from the A1 level to starting B1 in that time. It has been an extremely helpful way to learn French and reasonably affordable especially if you get in on the early bird discounts (though to be fair your first round will be a bit expensive as you have to do a placement test, register for the class, buy the textbooks for your level, but subsequent levels until you reach the next one weren't a major financial obstacle for me). The times were also pretty convenient for me personally, I was able to take them online and they took place after work. I've gone from being able to string together a few words and phrases I knew from High School and "getting-by" as an Anglo-Québecer in Montréal to now being able to have friendships that are based primarily in French (with a bit of switching when it gets out of my comfort zone). The school is also accredited to offer the tests that actually matter for work and education like the DELF. I plan on taking the DELF B1 and B2 exams eventually as language milestones for myself. I highly recommend taking classes if you are learning French as your second language. The teachers are well qualified and organized. The textbook is really helpful and has tons of grammar drills to do as well. You also get access to an online Library with books, magazines, and audiobooks. You still need to do some things on your own like reading in French, watching TV in French, and speaking in French just a class isn't enough on its own. But, AF gave me the tools to get to where I am today and I plan on continuing my French lessons with them until I'm bilingual.
