I was visiting with a friend, along with 10 other ladies, when Paul and Brent, 2 amazing delivery men, arrived from Barber and Haskill to deliver a new fridge, which had just been purchased the evening before. They came in, as we all hustled to empty the existing fridge. Placed a runner down to protect the floor, measured the outgoing fridge and determined the front entrance door had to be removed, which they did quickly and efficiently. They removed the old fridge and brought in the new one, cleaned up, ensured the front door was reinstalled properly and were on their way. Very friendly and helpful. We were all very impressed with the efficiency of the delivery and how smooth our friend said the actual purchase was. I have personally used Barber and Haskill for the bulk of my aplliance purchases and have always been more than satisfied. Paul and Brent also reminded us, they price match as well. Shop Local!
Decided to buy a new washing machine from Barber and Haskill in January as my 8 year washing machine was leaking. I went in to buy a top loader because of issues I have had with front loader. I was talked into another front loader. 9 mos later I am now dealing with a leaking washing machine again. When I called the store for customer service I was told it is under the manufacturer warranty and to call the manufacturer. When I asked to get details about the number and information about my machine I felt the person on the phone was annoyed. Annoyed to be doing her job. It is not my job today to look for my invoice when I am trying to get to work. I now have water all over my new flooring and having to deal with a chat bot from the manufacturer when I am trying to get to work. I was told to buy from COSTCO but decided to try Barber and Haskell because it is local and I have issues with other companies. It will be 24-48 hours for a service company from Toronto to get back to me to make a service call. Ridiculous! Gone are the days when people actually want to help you especially when it is a product they are selling. I will be shopping somewhere else in the future.
I came here ready to buy a new clothes dryer. After explaining my situation with a sales associate he helped me find/supply the parts i needed to fix the dryer myself. Spent under $100 and my dryer is now running like new. I will be back here for any of my future appliance needs as the customer service is top notch.
