I had a very positive experience at Dr. Bellamy's Durham Endodontics office. The staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. Dr. Bellamy was extremely pleasant, took the time to explain everything beforehand, was very respectful and gentle working in my mouth, took moments to ask me if I was okay during the procedure, and then was completely honest with me regarding my situation. Instead of continuing with the root canal and sending me on my way, he explained clearly and patiently why it was best not to try to save my cracked tooth, how restoring it with root canal and crown would be temporary at best, and let me choose whether to continue with the procedure or not. As soon as I decided against continuing, he aborted the root canal, attached a temporary filling cover for the open tooth, charged me a fraction of what the full procedure would have cost and then had his staff follow up with a "health check" phone call a couple of days later to make certain that I was alright, not experiencing pain and would be contacting my dentist to make arrangements to have the tooth extracted. I really couldn't imagine a more honest or respectful root canal experience than that.
