Centre dentaire Lapinière - Dre Stefanny Tran

Very disappointing experience I had decided to continue my dental care at this clinic and to transfer my dental records to Dr. Stephanie Tran. I made this decision based on the many positive reviews I had read about her, and I genuinely intended to start a long-term treatment plan under her care. In the meantime, I developed severe tooth pain that kept me awake for several nights. I called the clinic to ask if they could see me earlier than the appointment I had already booked, but they said I had to wait until my original appointment and no sooner. Because of this, I had no choice but to visit an emergency dental clinic to get temporary relief. That dentist took an X-ray and did a temporary filling to help with the pain. When my scheduled appointment at this clinic finally came, I brought the X-rays with me and had already explained everything to the receptionist over the phone. She said it was fine and told me to bring the X-rays. However, when I saw the dentist, she didn’t even bother to look at the X-rays and simply said I had to take new ones. I explained that I had just done them the previous week and didn’t want unnecessary radiation, especially when nothing had changed. The response I got was, “Because you came here, we have to start everything from scratch” — with no regard for the treatment I had already received or the pain I was in. To make things worse, they then told me they don’t even perform root canals. When I asked what they could do for my tooth, they said, “Nothing, we’ll just open it again and do another temporary filling” — exactly what had already been done a week earlier. It felt like the focus wasn’t on helping me, but on repeating unnecessary procedures — possibly for billing purposes. When someone is in that much pain, the least you expect is for your existing X-rays to be reviewed and a logical, compassionate decision to be made. Unfortunately, this experience left me untreated, frustrated, and extremely disappointed. This was far from professional care.

I recommend Dr Stefanny Tran. She has been my dentist for the last couple of years or so and she is also my daughter’s dentist. I am nervous about dental procedures and Dr. Tran has always been very respectful and empathetic about it. She is patient and she takes her time to ensure that her patients are feeling comfortable. Dr. Tran is also great with kids. My daughter likes to go to the dentist. Thank you Dr Tran - Ana
