I wish I had researched the google reviews earlier. We used this company to move us from a condo to a house that was literally 5 minutes away. I received quotes from 3 companies and all offered a similar offering- we knew someone who used these guys so we went with them- what a terrible mistake. There’s so much to say but the main things were: 1) the moving men were very unprofessional and didn’t want to finish the job same day. They arrived late and wanted to be done by 7pm even though they left the couch and dining table still at our condo. Towards the end of the day, one of the men was using foul language while my children were home. 2) after they brought over most of the furniture, I asked them to put together the children’s beds because it was already 8:30pm. Nothing was done until 11pm at night so I had to have my children sleep at a neighbors who we happen to know. Ridiculous 3) they dented a coffee table and a wall and offered me $75 as compensation! The coffee table was made out of wood and not fragile at all! They were careless with our things 4) they kept asking for full payment in the middle of the job- when they arrived at the house and still had our couch and dining table at the condo. they refused to move anything off the truck until i texted the owner- jay. 5) me and my husband went to the condo after things were completed and found so much still there- we stayed til 2am doing trips to take everything. including photos of all the items they left and showing some of the damage done. 6) once they finally finished (the next day) they refused to put furniture in the right place until I called the owner again to handle! 7) they stole a case of beer do not use they suck!
I paid for them to pack my entire apartment move it to my new apartment 5 minutes away and unpack due to a surgery I had so I couldn’t do the work myself. They arrived packed everything and loaded the truck. Once I saw most things were loaded I informed them I was going to head to the new apartment and open everything up so it was ready for them to begin unloading when they arrived. This was my first mistake because as soon as I left they decided to leave about 10 different items behind in my old apartment because I was not there to supervise. While they were unloading I noticed some things were missing so I asked them about it, and the supervisor of the job said that they left it in the other apartment. I told them that I needed it and I would go back and get it and I would be right back. when I arrived at the old apartment, I noticed all the things that have been left behind, which was obviously very disappointing. By the time I got back to the new apartment, they had finished loading everything in and took off. They did not help me unpack, which I paid for and on top of that they had broken several very expensive irreplaceable items and hid them on top of my kitchen cabinets and in closets hoping that I wouldn’t notice until it was too late. I immediately started calling them and reaching out and nobody ever answered my calls. I called the office left messages sent emails and no one ever responded back to me , they left my new apartment in the biggest mess I have ever seen in my life to the point where I had to hire all new people to come in and help me finish the job that they never finished. I would stay clear of this company. It is one thing to have employees who do the wrong thing or to make mistakes but it is entirely different to reach out to the office directly and never receive any response whatsoever.
Father & Son Moving and Storage has so too many lawsuits against them to count. I made the mistake of googling this crooked company after they destroyed all of my furniture. They dragged my mattress so badly across the floor that it ripped to shreds and had to be thrown away. They cracked my marble kitchen island. They reimburse you for damages based on the weight of your furniture and not the value. According to them, $10,000 worth of furniture damage is worth $75 based on pounds. RUN from this company if you see them coming your way. They are deplorable. Hire ANYONE else!
