This was my first experience with Mazda service and in a nutshell, the process was a breeze and the service was great. I recently bought a new CX50 and a few miles after driving it off the lot, to my dismay, it started making a grinding noise in the front axle. From prior experience with something similar and a bit of comparing to a few web searches, I figured it to be a pebble or debris somewhere in the brake assembly. I sent a recording to the dealership I bought it from and they agreed that's probably what it was. Since that dealership was 2.5 hours away in the valley, they recommended taking it into Kendall Ford/Mazda of Bend Service for servicing to take a look at it and to keep them updated. The next day, which was a Monday, understandably they had a line of cars ahead of me, but quickly offered me a loaner as I had to get to work, and they would take a look at it and I can come back later for it. They found the suspect rock, got it all taken care of, and I had the car back and their loaner returned before the end of the day. My interactions were with Alan, Nathan and Cristo, all of whom were super friendly, and I couldn't have asked for better, more efficient, service. This is my first ever Mazda and so far so good... [UPDATE 4/10/25]: So unfortunately I had to make a second stop here, granted for a different issue than the original, but they blew me away with their efficiency and attention yet again. Thanks to Nathan and the crew yet again for taking care of me in a timely fashion with smiles on their faces and having me back on the road right away. Super appreciate the crew here! [UPDATE 8/07/25]: Went in for my first scheduled maintenance, and as before, great service. I opted to stay and wait, but they were overwhelmed with a TON of cars coming in so it was going to take a while longer than anticipated, but they made sure to make me feel comfortable and updated throughout the process. Couldn't be happier with the service.
Pulled up at 3:40PM for a simple oil change. No line, one vehicle already in a bay and another had just pulled in the second bay. Poor junior employee was sent out to tell me that his boss told him they were done for the day — almost a full hour before closing time. Congrats to the manager on permanently losing a customer, plus whoever else reads this review and can tell how little these people care about doing essential maintenance on your car… apathy and laziness is infectious so I’m glad nobody here ever touched one bolt on my rig. Buyer beware.
I went in for an oil change because I had a one year warranty for lube and transmission I waited close to 3 hrs. Arrived upon shop being opened for the day. After the oil change, my car started leaking oil I didn’t think much of it because I know it can be common for cars to leak a little after an oil change but recently my car started leaking like crazy I checked the oil and it was almost empty so I added some to get me through while a mechanic checked it. Next thing you know the cap was loose. If we waited over 2 hrs for an oil change I would’ve expect it for it to be done correctly. Keep in mind my car was perfectly fine before the oil change, what are the odds it starts leaking. I didn’t take it to ford so they could look at it assuming they wouldn’t admit they’re at fault. Good thing it was just the cap nothing more serious. Not to mention, this had been the 3rd weekend day I went in because the 2 previous weekends, they had a note at the door saying they were closed because the whole crew was out sick. When I had called to inquire if the shop was open before heading that way the second weekend, the person on the phone was clueless and said she had no clue that the crew was out sick. Talk about wasting my time.
