Customer experiences
I had a new fan motor installed by Eagle Air Inc. in our outside AC unit less than a year ago for $950. Recently, one of the four acorn nuts holding the fan in place broke off. When I reached out for service, I was surprised and disappointed to learn that they refuse to honor any sort of repair or support, citing their 90-day workmanship warranty – which had already expired. To make matters worse, they claimed the damage was not due to normal wear and tear and instead suggested that someone else had tampered with it. This is simply not true. In reality, the damage is most likely due to over-torquing the bolts during installation, a clear workmanship issue. It’s frustrating to deal with a company that won’t take accountability for potential installation errors, especially when the issue is directly related to a part they worked on. A reputable HVAC company should stand behind their work longer than 90 days, especially for something as fundamental as proper bolt installation. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when choosing Eagle Air Inc. for HVAC work. Their limited warranty and unwillingness to address potential installation faults are unacceptable.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They wrongly installed new equipment and refuse to correct it. -------------- Eagle Air was recommended by my home warranty, American Home Shield. They replaced 2 full HVAC systems (furnaces and A/C) in my home. Total cost $15K+ Unbeknownst to me they did not pull permits with the city = no inspection. Had that happened, we would have known that 1. They didn't put in the correct size electrical breakers. Both units are on 30amps. With a 2.5 ton and 2 ton unit, it should be a 25 and a 20 otherwise it offers not protection. The wires will melt before it trips the breaker. 2. They didn't install drier liquid lines (listed in both contracts) on either unit. 3. They used soft solder instead of brazing the copper lines. This makes them subject to failure/leaks as the pressure it 3x what it was for the old units. 4. They didn't replace the original copper linees. Per the installation manuals from the manufacturer, these lines are not the correct size for either of the units. I had two other independent, licensed HVAC repair companys out to confirm all of this as well. When this was brought to Eagle's attention, Angie said "We don't know if that's true. People lie about our work all the time." When I spoke to Tony, sent him images in email, he said "Don't worry about it." We scheduled an appointment in 5 days them to come assess the issues. I took off work for the day to wait 10-2p. At 1:25 I called to check in. Angie told me they were not coming. That they had cancelled the visit as I didn't want to pay the $149 travel fee (as these issues were part of their initial install) and that they didn't like the way I treated them. I was also not allowed to speak with Tony. They are refusing further communication and are not accountable for their own work. They knowingly installed this not to manufacture's speculations. This choice creates ongoing problems with the unit. As a customer and not an HVAC tech, I never would have identified this incorrect install without a 3rd party. --------------- Here's the scam: Sell and put in a unit that mostly works, but needs annual repairs due to your incorrect installation. Parts are under warranty, but the service/labor is not, so you'll constantly call them out to work on the issues they created but refuse to actually fix. ---------------
Anthony showed up promptly, was very pleasant and answered all of our questions. He was knowledgable about our furnace and gave suggestions on how to handle our airflow situation.
This company was dispatched to my home in August 2024 to replace AC/FURNACE. Once the work was completed, everything worked fine until December 2024 when I needed to use the furnace to heat up the home, then I notice that the AC was running and not the Furnace. They company told me I needed to call my warranty company to correct the issue. After @125 co-pay they came to the house and realized that they crossed the switch which should have turn on the heat. Now that the temperature is on the rise not the AC does not work, I called Eagle air and they inform me it's not their problem that I would have to once a gain call my warranty company! Not eve n a tear old and so many issues with this now unit. Avoid this company, call someone else!
