Customer experiences
After successfully completing the PH360 fellowship program, I am truly impressed by the extensive knowledge I have acquired during the three-month duration. The organization's unwavering commitment to eradicating health disparities is truly commendable. PH360 is wholeheartedly dedicated to addressing social determinants of health and effecting tangible changes in the field of public health. The tailored fellowship programs for public health graduates are exceptional, equipping fellows with practical skills and preparing them to make substantial contributions to addressing the scarcity of public health professionals. The work of PH360 is undeniably admirable and plays a pivotal role in fostering a healthier and more equitable society.
My first impression of the PH 360 was that it was an incredible opportunity in my public health career journey. This international public health workforce development program offers comprehensive education and hands-on experience to prepare future public health leaders. PH 360 Fellows engage in a competency-based curriculum rooted in public health theory and practice that teaches essential public health skills, such as community health assessments. At the core of the program is a capstone project in which fellows engage in a public health research project that addresses a real-life public health issue. Additionally, fellows are encouraged to become geographic experts in their assigned areas, enabling them to design an effective intervention program. My participation in PH 360 became a defining moment in my career journey, providing clear direction and focus to my professional aspirations. The program’s curriculum has given me the framework to articulate the overarching theme of my career, seamlessly connecting my past professional experiences and guiding my future path. Through working on the capstone project, I gained a hand-on-experience in applying theoretical concepts through addressing a real-life public health issue. This experience provided the opportunity to expand my program development skills by emphasizing critical aspects, such as program evaluation. Through developing these skills, I am now able to develop a well-designed program that is impactful and sustainable in addressing public health challenges.
Although rigorous at times, the PH360 program was the best practicum experience that I have received. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to push myself and work outside of my comfort zone on a relevant public health intervention proposal. I am also fortunate to have had the opportunity to work and collaborate with other fellows from different countries. If you are furthering your education or pursuing a career in the public health sector, then I would highly recommend that you be a part of this program.
I had the honor to do an internship with GHEP as a Public Health Analyst fellow during my summer. In my time as a PH 360 Fellow, I worked with 6 global public health scholars, and we designed programs that can better our community. This program was instrumental to the success of my career. I am grateful for all the support and guidance I received. I highly recommend this organization if you are trying to elevate your career or return to grad school. Big thanks go to Dr.Romey. I left feeling inspired and competent.
