One would think you’d get “scrubs” when you book the night before a holiday but wow - was I pleasantly surprised to be staffed with two consummate professionals who arrived early (in my industry that’s on time) were delightful, efficient and quick to learn what my needs were. My best compliment was that I was easily able to offer constructive feedback which was received and appreciated then immediately implemented at every turn. That’s priceless. I would rehire in a heartbeat. My Thanksgiving dinner party was so much more enjoyable because the load of prep, serving and cleanup was immaculately handled for me by Valler pros.

I recently applied to become a hostess at Julia Valler Event Staffing, and while the opportunity seemed promising, my experience with the recruitment process left me feeling uncertain and led me to withdraw my application. After my interview with the recruiter, I was instructed to upload photos of myself in a specific uniform through their app. I didn’t have all the required items, like black lace-up oxford shoes, so I used what I had on hand. I wasn’t comfortable purchasing items without knowing if I'd ultimately get hired or not. Communication throughout the process was unclear. The recruiter mentioned that once my photos were approved, I would need to sign a contract and complete an I-9 and W-4, but I never received official confirmation that my profile had been accepted. I was repeatedly asked to sign the contract without clarification on my hiring status, which made me uncomfortable sharing personal information like SSN, driver's license etc. It’s unfortunate because I was really eager to work with a prestigious company like Julia Valler, but I ultimately withdrew my application due to the lack of clear communication. Julia Valler seems to have high standards, which I respect, but I hope they their recruitment process for future applicants.

not only are the people who run the events extremely unprofessional they also make you go out of your way to buy all types of things for the wardrobe just to not have any work! I did all of 3 events with them & it was a nightmare because they don’t have designated parking so you will have to pay for parking the day of & I’ve been told by multiple workers that they never got the reimbursements that they were owed for that, they don’t communicate effectively so for the first 30 mins to an hour at each event is just everyone trying to find somewhere to park their cars. Also, the recruiter I was emailing back and forth with (John) was so condescending and rude for no reason, a huge waste of my time & money!
