I honestly went back and fourth between posting this review but I feel it needs to be made to warn others. I called and asked for a “lived in blonde balayage” and specifically asked the person scheduling me if she has experience with blondes and she said yes and scheduled my appointment with herself. The appointment took almost 8 hours- My clothes were ruined my hair was bleached blonde throughout except at my roots. My hair is absolutely fried. I came back in for a color correction with another stylist and she tried her best to color correct it but the last pic shows the “color correction” which still was nothing like my inspiration picture. The pictures show my hair the day I came in (heart over face) My inspiration pic I showed the stylist The messed up hair color Ruined shirt & the “color correction” Would not get your hair colored here especially by stylist Julia. Lesson learned the hard way. * EDITED TO ADD* The salon said they would honor me coming back in for a tone and cut. I tried to call and schedule that and they would not. Photo at the end is the current state of my hair. I’m so disappointed every picture of myself now feels ugly because of this hair.

This was my first time ever getting my hair professionally colored, and Autumn made the whole experience amazing! We spent almost the entire day together, but I never felt rushed—even though she had other clients after me. She’s a great multitasker, helping other stylists and clients while still giving my hair the attention it needed. She also took the time to help me figure out the best color and highlight option, which saved me some money and still gave me exactly what I wanted. I love my hair and will definitely be back. Highly recommend Autumn if you’re looking for a stylist who knows what she’s doing and truly cares about her clients!

I recently went to the Hair Cuttery in Midlothian for the first time and received the worst haircut in six decades of getting haircuts. I paid $36 for a "Signature Cut" and gave clear instructions as to what I wanted. Not only were those instructions not followed, but when I got home I discovered there was a gouge or divot in my hair near the front. Even worse, I discovered that the stylist had COMPLETELY shaved off ONE of my sideburns. She shaved it completely off while leaving the other one in place. (We at no time discussed what my sideburns.) I was mortified when I discovered what she had done. I had no choice but to shorten the other sideburn to try to minimize the apparent huge asymmetrical look she created while waiting for the removed sideburn to grow back. I don't know how or why she did that, except I know she talked nonstop while I was in the chair. Or perhaps she was not happy with me because I had pointed out that, despite having an appointment, I was left sitting in the waiting area long past my appointment time. In any event, the stylist also left my hair with a crude "shelf" on the left side of my hair when I explicitly asked her to make sure the hair was blended so as not to leave a shelf. I gave myself literally much better haircuts at home during Covid than I received at the Hair Cuttery. I have not yet contacted Hair Cuttery corporate, but may do so. In any event, I will never patronize this or any other Hair Cuttery. This is beyond a customer not merely being pleased with a haircut. The complete removal of one sideburn was objectively horrific styling.

My daughter is very picky about her hair and it being brushed, washed, etc. (9 years old) but upon arriving at her appointment for a cut and wash. We were greeted by the amazing stylist Autumn who ushered us to her station and got all the info she needed to start. I was blown away at how comfortable and relaxed my little one was with her, not so little but I also contributed the whole experience to the professionalism and sweet demeanor of Autumn. She gave a finished result of exactly what my daughter wanted and that's what will have me as a return customer.
