I have used Airport Hyundai for service maintenance on my 2020 Tucson, since I bought the car. As usual, I had great service again this morning thanks to service advisor Bryan King and technician Tyler McKenney. Everything I asked for was covered and checked. I was back on the road in record time. The service here has always been exceptional. Thanks Airport Hyundai.
On Friday, November 28, my vehicle broke down on Veteran’s Memorial Parkway. I drive a Hyundai Tucson, and the tow truck driver suggested towing it to Hyundai Airport, as he believed there may have been a recall involved. Based on that information, my vehicle was brought to your dealership. When I entered the service area, I felt completely ignored. A group of three staff members continued their conversation without making eye contact or acknowledging my presence. Once they finished, I explained that my vehicle had broken down, had just been towed in, and that I was inquiring about a potential recall based on the tow driver’s suggestion. Two staff members responded by saying they were not aware of any recall, without initially asking for my vehicle’s model or year, or attempting to gather any relevant information. The lack of engagement and basic inquiry was concerning. I was then asked whether I had been there before, to which I explained that I had not, as my vehicle had just been towed to your location for the first time. After eventually providing my vehicle’s model and year, one staff member briefly spoke with the parts manager and returned to inform me that my vehicle could not be looked at until the end of January or possibly early February. I was then told that despite my vehicle being broken down, it would need to be moved because your lot was full. I understand that service departments have capacity limitations; however, the way this situation was handled was unacceptable. At no point did I feel supported, acknowledged, or treated with basic courtesy during a stressful situation. This experience reflects a serious lack of customer service and professionalism. As a result of this interaction, I would not consider purchasing a vehicle from or servicing my vehicle at this dealership in the future. I strongly encourage management to reflect on how customers—particularly those experiencing vehicle breakdowns—are treated.
I had a nice time at Airport Hyundai. I had been looking for a vehicle for a long time but couldn't get approval from other dealers. But once I started talking to Manni, a sales representative at Airport Hyundai, she had the best assistance to offer. So I finally visited the shop, and also met an amazing guy, Chris, the Finance Manager, who did everything possible and I got the approval. I was so delighted. Thank you guys so very much and I am so damn happy with the vehicle I got. Excellent 👌👌
