I joined Econofitness in May this year. While using the self-service subscription page (in the gym), the page crashed right after I entered my credit card information. I was told by a staff member to simply redo the whole process. Now I'm getting charged twice every month. I reached out to Econofitness via their online form, and got an automated response that my request would be reviewed and a team member would get back to me within 48 hours. That was two weeks ago.
I am fond of the Econofitness model and was always happy to be a Platinum member. However, these last few months, I've noticed the steady decline of cleanliness in the Econofitness centers. I train at a few of the gyms in Laval, but the one I frequent most is in Vimont Laval on DesLaurentides Blvd. Next to the Pharmaprix. This gym used to be the model gym for good service, quality equipment, and proper cleaning. It has now become a smelly, horrid and dirty gym. I'm often finding myself cleaning the equipment myself or even the floors I walk on, out of sheer disgust. Dust bunnies and mud and dirt everywhere. And the staff are rude and don't care about these things. They're constantly just hanging out with other Coworkers, playing on their phones. We often have to tell them to fill up the Scott towels and sprays. I was once a proud member of this gym, close to home and once vibrant. Sadly, me and many others are considering going to another fitness center. Such a shame!
Worst manager at Econofitneas Cavendish!!!! This morning at 6am I can't go in the gym my card was deactivated. This afternoon I go back and ask the manager why I can't access the gym oh the payment did not go through I ask why he said check with your bank. He said pay by Interac now I ask him what if my payment go through after I pay by Interac he says if you don't trust this gym go to another one! This is the manager talking.... unacceptable!!!!! I go home spend 45 minutes on the phone with my bank and the answer is that is Ecofiteness that do not accept electronic transfer. I go back to the gym and speak to manager again after he checks in the system I was missing two 0 before the transit number... so why did I get a confirmation email? Why I wasn't advise? And the worst is the Manager ATTITUDE UDE. And the end he says we have 5000 client we can't pay attention to each one!!!!what kind of an answer is it???? Worst experience!!!
