I have a lot of anxiety with getting hair cuts & a ton of bad experiences. Sydney made me feel so comfortable from the beginning & actually listened. For the first time ever I did not leave a salon crying because my stylist chopped all my hair off & I booked a return appointment before leaving. That is a huge step for me. I began my relationship with Moxi about 5 months ago. Each time I’ve visited I’ve scheduled a consultation to ensure my results were achievable and realistic. Unfortunately each time, I’ve been let down. After my first color appointment I let the team know that the color wasn’t what we discussed (weird dark streaks, blotchy color) and they scheduled me to return with the same stylist. The second visit was moderately better but I was still surprised and what I ultimately paid (including tips both times) was significantly more than what I received. Unfortunately even with the color corrected, the toner only lasted 2 washes (I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week) so I was pretty bummed. I scheduled another visit for a toner to refresh the color a few weeks later. At this visit the toner so significantly lifted my roots that I now had three colors bands (the original roots that weren’t properly addressed, the new red roots and the rest of my hair). It looked ridiculous. Before I even left the appointment I explained how unhappy I was and scheduled another full color appointment. Feeling uncertain about this next service I AGAIN scheduled a consultation. During the consultation the new stylist confirmed she could accomplish the correction of the bands and color I desired. Unfortunately the service date that was scheduled however would not accommodate the service needed. The salon was booked out for a month+ (understandable) and would not accommodate any changes to fix my hair (not understandable). I’m not being unreasonable- each visit has been worse than the last and they’ve made very little attempt to correct it. To add insult to injury, they cancelled the appointment I did have (partial highlight), leaving me high and dry a week before a vacation, saying I’m not a good fit for the salon and refusing any further adjustments or compensation. The salon employs junior stylists that charge a premium. Ownership has no concept of customer service. Enter at your own risk.
Came into Moxi to get a shaggy/wolf cut. Tiffany helped me achieve the look I've been wanting to try. They were very helpful in giving me advice on after care for my hair. I felt right at home in the salon and atmosphere. I felt very comfortable talking to the staff and they made me feel heard and understood. I had a great time! 100% recommend.
