In need of full-body massage, I scheduled 75-minute sessions for my daughter and myself. My (13yo) daughter’s therapist ONLY worked her back, (which my daughter had mentioned needed more attention) and - although relaxing enough to put her to sleep - created numbness and discomfort during the session. My therapist did a fluff-and-buff (forgetting hands and scalp), however, I had expected a ‘full-body’ therapeutic massage.

I had a massage at active wellness massage therapy on 06/06, and the massage itself was excellent, with the therapist providing a relaxing and professional experience. However, I encountered several issues with the front-end staff and billing process. Initially, I was informed that they would bill my insurance and email me the invoice, but I never received any invoices or bills despite following up. There was also confusion regarding billing for my dependent. I was told they couldn’t bill insurance for my dependent on the same day as my appointment and was asked to pay out of pocket with the promise of receiving invoices to claim from insurance later. However, when I called back to inquire about the invoices, another staff member stated that same-day billing for dependents was possible. This inconsistency, combined with the lack of follow-through on billing and communication, left me frustrated. I hope these issues can be addressed to improve the overall experience.

I can’t say enough good things about my therapist, Dema Khalaf. She is not only professional and knowledgeable, but also incredibly kind and caring. She uses different techniques with such skill, and her amazing hands have really helped improve my back pain. The whole environment is wonderful — from the moment you walk in, you feel the warmth and positive energy. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel truly welcome. The place is always clean, comfortable, and gives you peace of mind. Dema Khalaf is spectacular, and I’m so grateful for the care I’ve received.
