I had an appointment for pain in my abdomen and pelvis, I wasn't told until I showed up that my provider had been switched to a male provider. The male doctor tried to dismiss me and tell me to just take birth control, rather than doing any tests to diagnose. I was like "so you're not going to give me a diagnosis or run any tests?" and he said "well, what do you think it is?" and I said "I don't know I'm not a doctor". It was a very frustrating experience and I wish it ended there. I got some tests done and referred out, but then I was told after my appointment that there was an issue with their referral system. It took two weeks for my referrals to be mailed to me, I went to the first one for gastro and lo and behold this place had a 1 star review for "trying to take money from patients". I went since my doctor recommended it and I wish I didn't. They did in fact try to charge me for things my insurance covered, I don't think it was on purpose but because of a lack of insurance coordinator. I had to spend 3 hours on the phone fixing it so they would stop sending me a bill. It was so ridiculous that I literally put the testing facility, my insurance, and the doctors office on the same line and told them to figure it out and that's what finally worked. After dealing with all that nonsense, I tried to go to go to make an appointment with the ultrasound imaging place. They asked me why I didn't have a referral for abdominal and pelvic since both were in the notes. That it would be easier to just do both at once. Honestly, I think the doctor I saw was just sexist and lazy, rather than actually helping he would rather just throw birth control at women than actually help. So of course rather than making things easy and putting abdominal and pelvic he'd say the only issue was pelvic. Not surprised. I tried to get my referrals fixed and it takes a week to two weeks each time since they have a mailed system only. I called to fix my referrals, waited a week, and then still have only pelvic. I really want to believe it's not purposeful but this has just been ridiculous and stressful. I want to change providers and I never want to go here again, but I was told it would mess up my referrals so I'm basically stuck until they fix it or I have to start over again and hate it. I'm going to give it one more try, but after this I'm done. I ended up going to urgent care because I was having stomach pain and had a cyst. They gave me antibiotics that day for a staph infection which fixed my stomach issues. I can't believe it was literally in a day fixed by urgent care where as this office has been tossing me around for weeks with 0 solutions and having to fight tooth and nail for any diagnostics.

I love this place. Clean and spacious with little or no wait ever. The people who work the desk are kind and efficient. I have had two different doctors in the year and a half I have been going there and both were very nice and thorough. The patient base is mostly Asian and I am often the only Caucasian waiting. The range of languages the staff speaks is amazing. Make this your primary care facility and you will be very happy.

I am once again giving this place a one star review for another issue. I was called by a nurse practitioner from ICHS for a surgical follow up even though I already had one with my ER surgeon. I wasn’t sure what the protocol at the time was, so I thought maybe I needed to come in. The nurse was telling me I should still be taking oxycodon even though I voluntarily chose to stop taking it early due to its addictive nature. She also told me I shouldn’t be taking ibuprofen post surgery like my surgeon recommended. I decide to do the appointment since she told me they’ll check if my incision sites are infected. I come in and they have me sign paperwork telling me I need to switch my PCP back to them since I changed my insurance. I was confused because I had already told them I no longer wanted to go to their clinic as my last visit was a nightmare, but I didn’t want my billing to be screwed up either. I’ve been having health issues and I can’t wait over a week to get a referral to just have them mess it up and wait a week each time they have to change something because they just can’t seem to get it right. Overall, I felt unsafe to the point that when the provider was jabbing at my stomach 6 days post appendectomy I started having a panic attack because I was scared she was going to hurt me. I don’t think she did anything wrong, she was very understanding. My complaints are with the other staff whom have caused this distrust. I called the next day to redact the paperwork and was basically told they couldn’t because it was Saturday. I don’t know why they told me that it would mess up my billing if I didn’t switch it to them. I was being coerced into signing paperwork I didn’t understand, then when I called my insurance afterwards and they told me the opposite. I don’t know why a nurse thinks she knows better than the surgeon who operated on me and is trying to coerce me into taking oxycodon I said I didn’t want or need. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I think the reviews are inflated. Don’t waste your time here. If you need anything you’re better off with UW medicine or Swedish even though they’re busier.
