Simple Valley Heating and Cooling

My Daikin system was installed this past Monday by Keaton and Pablo. So far as I can tell only 2 days in, they did great work. This obviously can't speak for the long term quality of the system until I've had it for a few years, nor their warranty service that I haven't needed yet. But what I do know is that right now my AC works much more beautifully and quietly than my old system, and I didn't even get anything super fancy or high-efficiency in terms of the available options. But I'm confident I'll see a noticeable drop in my energy bills. Oh and Michael (my sales rep) did me an absolute solid along the way: When I was getting estimates and comparing offers, everyone's quotes had this one thing in common: a high-end 4" Aprilaire filter in a 6" filter box that would go next to my furnace, and that would need to be changed much less frequently than typical 1" filters. I was pretty excited about that. Unfortunately however, my exhaust flue threw a curve ball during the install that ended up not leaving enough room for the Aprilaire, so they had to go with a 1" filter. Michael and Western kinda went way above and beyond to make it up to me for not being able to give me the nicer filter. Michael offered to upgrade my existing nothing-special burned-out UV lamp with what he simply described as a "newer, better UV light". Sounded good to me. What I wasn't expecting was that he was referring to a Reme Halo LED UV lamp. Those things are NOT cheap, and I'm pretty sure it's a lot more expensive than the Aprilaire filter they didn't have room to install. So now I have a Reme Halo in my system, and I'm really happy with how things turned out. I'll update in a few years once I see how the whole system holds up over several hot and cold seasonal cycles.

Amazing!!! We talked to several other companies and Western Heating, Air & Plumbing gave us the best very deal we cold imagine. We had a new heat pump (air conditioning and heater), house humidifier, and had the ducts cleaned. And our experience was fantastic. Marc set us up with the estimate and sat down and went over the details. He was very thorough and explained things with more clarity than anyone else we looked at. Keaton and Tyler were the lead hard working installers. All the work was fantastic. They did it all in a day without any fuss or hidden costs. We have been so happy with their work. Everything has been amazing in terms of quality of the equipment installed and how well it works. My wife Lori and I could not be happier.

UPDATE 2: So, 3rd time's the charm. Western sent over a tech named Gabriel, and he finally delivered on the level of service that Western promised. He spent all day diagnosing and fixing the issue, and also noticed that the original installer put a filter box that was too small on my setup, so he had a larger replacement installed the same day. Then he gave me a choice of what thermostat I wanted (which the first installer should have done). He didn't leave my house until he knew everything functioned correctly, and even called 2 days later to make sure everything was good. He was the best tech I worked with. Now the system is working flawlessly, thanks to Gabriel, but it shouldn't have taken 3 visits and a flawed/messy install to get here. UPDATE 1: I just ran our furnace for the first time, and it won't turn off. When I flip the master switch next to the furnace, it started sparking. I've been on hold with them for 25 minutes this evening, and I can't get anybody to pick up, so I have to turn my new unit off, and I'm worried the switch could start a fire. Why didn't the tech test this before he left? This is not what I expected from a new system. OLD REVIEW: I had a fantastic experience with everyone that I worked with through Western. I had a unit that was broken down, and the repair was enough that it made more sense to put in a new unit in its place. Their pricing was clear and up front, and they got us in as quickly as could be expected. The installers were great, and got the unit installed in a single day. The only lingering concern is a wire that was run outside along the stucco, but they have assured me that they will come back and conceal the wire. I hope that will happen next week. Overall, the quality of their work was wonderful.
