I bought a bottle of hot sauce from the stand and asked the staff if it was ok to bring it on flights and pass customs. He said yes, should be okay. When I landed in Toronto on my way to the US, the hot sauce got confiscated because it was 150ml (above the 100ml limit). I told them that the salesperson in Halifax told me I could go through customs with it but they said no. Please do not sell products that do not fit the airport custom limit and tell your customers it is okay when it is not!! Gave me unnecessary stress and completely wasted my money! I'm still giving 2 stars because there are interesting and cute stuff being sold there. Just wish I had a better experience!!
I get that it’s an airport so things are marked up because people have no choice but to shop there. Everything here is, however, grossly overpriced. I walked in hoping to buy a little treat but left empty handed because a little treat should be less than 5 dollars. Very kind staff though.
Love lobsters to take after your arrival. I was surprised to see a live lobster pool in the airport itself. Pretty cool.
