I left a review a few days ago explaining that I was unhappy with the service I received. Someone from your team provided me with an email address to follow up, but I never received a response. Still, I am waiting for a reply, even though I was told someone would reach out. Not a day goes by that I don’t feel upset about my hair and the money I paid for it. This has truly been a terrible experience, and I’m not sure what else I can do at this point. I’m writing this review after observing my hair for about 1.5–2 months. Back in October, I got my hair coloured by Rahul. I had shared inspo pictures in advance and clearly told him I wanted a bleach-free result. I even mentioned that my hair had been coloured twice already and that I was willing to change my inspo if it couldn’t be done without bleach. He assured me, “No worries, we can do it without bleach.” After the appointment, my hair became extremely dry, and since then every wash has made me regret getting it coloured. I don’t know what products were used, but this has been my worst decision, especially considering they charged around $270. I feel there was no transparency, and despite being told no bleach was used, it genuinely seems like bleach was used.

Truly a terrible business.*** If I could leave no star, I would. The stylist I originally booked called in sick. Amanda at the front desk rebooked me with Rahul but didn’t disclose that his rate was double. I only learned this at checkout. That lack of transparency, especially when the change wasn’t my choice, is unacceptable and shameful. Additionally, I came in with hair to my mid-back and explained I hadn’t cut it in years because I’d been growing it out after chemotherapy. I knew a good amount had to be cut, but I asked to keep it somewhat long with lots of layers. I explained (and it was visible) that I had wavy hair and even get ringlets near my neck, and that it would get curlier if shorter (totally fine). The stylist insisted that I had straight hair and also said he “wasn’t going to do a lot of layers.” After I agreed that he could take a bit more off, he cut it to my collarbone. I now have short hair that does not suit my natural waves, with long layers that are barely visible. There was also noticeable body odour during the appointment. After cancer, I was genuinely excited for this haircut. However, the result and pricing surprise have left me extremely upset and disappointed.
Had an amazing experience at Vitality! Rahul is a professional, friendly, and really understood what I wanted. Excellent communication skills. The haircut and color turned out stylish and better than I expected. The salon was clean, welcoming, and I felt completely comfortable. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
