Customer experiences
I would like to leave no stars but you cannot post without leaving at least one. We have been Wayfair customers for years. This past Memorial Day weekend we purchased a large custom sectional with very specific parameters for the space - it could only fit one way. 4-6 weeks to manufacture and ship. Arrived in 4 weeks but it was incorrect. They made and sent the wrong facing direction. refused it. We called and corrected the order to the other way facing based on advice from Wayfair CS and we waited another 4 weeks. It arrived- wrong again - wrong direction facing. So we discussed with CS and she seemed quite confident that the manufacturer would understand what we were ordering and hence get it right the third time. Sadly, no. The wrong sectional arrived this morning and since no one at Wayfair can seem to get the terminology for right facing/left facing correct, we will shop elsewhere. Horrible - Its been 5 months now with a huge empty space ( we got rid of what was there after the order was placed), and it looks like we won't have a sectional for the holidays this year to accommodate our large family.
I would like to share my experiences with Wayfair Customer Support this morning. I ordered an item specifically for my queen size bed through Hotel Luxury in queen size light blue and received complete different manufacturer - AMthread Collection in a turquoise color. I simply requested a return label enabling me to return the incorrect product and re order the item requested in my original order. Long story short, after speaking with two customer service people, my request was not delivered. I’m not totally conversant with technical details however, I have sent the picture twice to Wayfair Resolution with the order number and info regarding the order. Bottom line is the order was shipped to me from Wayfair’s Outlet in Plainville, IL 60544. The mailing address is “General Delivery”. A chat on-line was futile.
Wayfair sold us USED, DAMAGED merchandise and lied about help We ordered new furniture from Wayfair that arrived warped, scratched, and with defective parts — it clearly looked used. Customer service (chat reps in India and U.S. staff in Georgia) pretended to care — five different employees viewed our photos and called the damage “awful” and “scary,” but nobody fixed the problem or took responsibility. Their sympathetic responses were empty and felt like a ploy to avoid accountability. If you value your time and money, do not buy from Wayfair. Their shipping, quality control, and customer service failures are dangerous and dishonest. Avoid Wayfair.
Cheap products that have high margins. They are sold as discounted “ high end “ products and I feel as though I’ve spent over $1000 on garbage. Coach was delivered late. Had missing parts that were required for assembly. When requesting missing parts was told I had to wait another two weeks for those. While awaiting for the parts the cushions that say they “ fluff up after 48 hours “, turns out that’s a lie as well. Once they have your money it’s over. Big Lots had better quality than wayfair which is truly incredible to say the least.
Wayfair is a corporate office.
