Do NOT trust this builder Let me explain. This is a long review, but if you’re planning to build a house, you’ll want to read it. First, some of the glowing reviews here were written by people connected to the company. That alone should be a red flag. (See screenshots) Chris, Jeremy are either current or former Windstone employees. Matt works under the owner, Joey, at their other awful roofing company, so of course he left a glowing review. Crystal is a contractor they hire. Who knows how many of these reviews came from real homeowners versus people in the Windstone bubble. We built our home with them 6 years ago. I wouldn’t let them build a doghouse for free, let alone touch another home of mine. Here’s why: • Communication was awful. Getting a reply or real action took forever. • The floors weren’t level. A ball would roll from the living room into the kitchen. They fixed it after a long back and forth, but it’s still not fully right. You can feel the slope as you walk. • The quality of the build isn’t there. It started falling apart immediately. • This was supposed to be our dream home. Instead, it was built with cheap materials, labor, or both. • We had leaks in the garage, front door, and ceiling. They started right after move-in and returned years later. They told us it was out of warranty and left us on our own. • Multiple independent contractors have said, “We can’t believe how bad this house was built.” • Cracks showed up in the walls and ceilings right away. They patched a few, but they keep coming back. This goes way beyond normal settling. • A neighbor warned them during construction that the foundation wasn’t raised high enough. They ignored him. He was right. Now, water floods toward the foundation every time it rains. Standing water pools across the front of the house. We’ll eventually have to regrade the lot to fix it. • They missed several things entirely: an entire bar table, fireplace mantle, and bathroom shelves. We had to point those out ourselves. • Once the contract was signed, their attitude changed. They’re nice while selling, but that doesn’t last. • They dodged responsibility constantly. Everything wrong was either “normal” or suddenly not under warranty. Our driveway cracked shortly after the one-year mark. They didn’t lift a finger. • The bar developed two cracks shortly after move-in. They blamed our pets and drinks. We barely used that space. That excuse makes no sense. • Light fixtures were crooked. Just sloppy work. • Gaps between the tile and baseboards. • Some windows didn’t latch because they weren’t installed right. • The front column had cracks when we moved in. A large horizontal crack returned again this year. • Interior doors didn’t close properly and needed adjustment. • The shed is falling apart. The ramp is rotting, the doors don’t close, and contractors told us, they installed wrong type of wood, hinges, and screws • The roof leak we had right after moving in came back worse years later. We paid out of pocket for repairs, drywall, and mold cleanup. Roofers said the install was bad from the start. • The attic wood materials were installed incorrectly (See photos) • The attic has poor insulation and lacks proper ventilation. The house stays hotter than it should. Contractors confirmed it. • Concrete around the fence posts is breaking and rising. This is not normal settling. • One of the rooms is so poorly insulated it regularly hits 85+ degrees. • Our punch list was long. A lot was wrong. Instead of owning it, they got defensive. A good builder stands by their work. We regret not hiring a home inspector — they would have caught so much more Honestly, I could list more. Every contractor we’ve talked to had something negative to say about them. That should tell you everything you need to know. This is my honest experience. I waited until now to write it so I could give the full picture. Every year, something else breaks or needs attention. Hiring them was, and still is, one of the biggest regrets of my life

I had a great experience working with Windstone Construction on a recent commercial project. Joey kept me informed throughout the entire process. This is an ongoing improvement project and I look forward to our continued partnership. I would highly recommend Joey and Windstone Construction for your next commercial project.

Windstone built our house and finished it this year on Valentines day. After we closed on our house, they were extremely attentive to everything that we had questions about and things that needed some attention. During the entire building process, Windstone was courteous, kind and willing to work with us as we wanted to change and add a few things to the home. Their builder warranty is awesome and they care about us and the house even after they have finished the build. Every time we needed something, they went above and beyond to get it fixed. Working with contractors can be tough, but they handled that part entirely. Joey and Chris are awesome and we appreciate them so much. We love our new home!
