I been with Z transportation for a few months and like it First off when I came here I was skeptical like all other companies but they have been helpful I started here and had a medical emergency and they backed me and made sure my truck was still there in the yard when I came back Loads are decent I have been on some very long ones and when it comes to me coming home they try to keep me close to get me home for my hometime They definitely got me out of my comfort zone of running just the Northeast Safety is definitely their #1 concern if I have a safety concern they definitely listen and work with me to make sure I make it there safe Dispatch calls to check on their drivers and make sure they have all the info and if anything is needed they will let you know prior to Picking up and they make sure you are okay Another thing I like is they treat you with respect and that is all I ask for I stay out as long as I can sometimes just a week sometimes 3 weeks it depends
I know a lot of drivers read reviews before they apply at a company. So let me break down Z transportation. Over here at Z you will be driving brand new equipment that literally has all the bells and whistles. You're able to pick your truck. The company provides smart TVs, microwave, upgraded power inverter, and unlimited Wi-Fi to connect all your devices. Now let's talk about dispatching, every morning after my dispatcher sees my truck is moving. He will call me but he won't call me for a load update. He already has that information from the computer in the truck, he calls to check on me, ask how my morning is going and if I need anything. It's not just my dispatcher that does this. Every dispatcher gives the drivers utmost respect. Respect for the drivers is number one in the Z family, it don't matter who you talk to you are addressed by sir or ma'am. Our safety department is top notch, they want you to be safe on the road, when it comes to bad weather, or not feeling well, or any other reason you need to stop your truck. It's just one phone call away nobody's going to argue with you nobody's going to pout they're going to ask if you're in a safe place and to either feel better soon or be safe until the storm passes. Another bonus is we don't have cameras. They trust us to do our job safely and they believe in our privacy because this is our home. We have regional positions and over-the-road positions, regional will get you home every weekend over the road is 2 weeks out up to 5 days home. Your choice and how long you want to stay, and for every week you're out after that you get another 3 days. They believe that family time is very important for the drivers and they are not greedy when it comes to family time or if you need to be home for something they make it happen. When it comes to pay we are one of the highest paying companies out there, like most companies, we are a mileage-based company. You will get your miles all the miles you can handle but it has to be done legally. Safety nor dispatch will go in and change your logs. We are the fastest growing trucking company out there. I was stuck out this year for Christmas kinda of by my own choice, they didn't just leave me sitting somewhere, the driver manager got a hold of my dispatcher and asked if I wanted a hotel room or anything special on Christmas. There's not another company out there that's going to do that. Other companies are going to expect you to stay in your truck and wait for your load. That comes down to the respect that we get. I hope my experience with the company gives you a better idea of who we are and what we are. Driver- Cody
Over 25 years of experience. Never been misled so badly. First off, you want a new truck? You get .65 a mile, they pay .01 for up to 50 miles of deadhead per load, pay you zip code to zip code, charge you $58 per week for occupational insurance, and govern the trucks at 68. Also they'll say 2022 to 2024 trucks, meanwhile you get a 2019 with 500 k miles and interior is terrible. I wouldnt recommend this company at all. Just a glorified Swift. Add up what they pay and deduct and not pay, you're out a minimum $200 to $300 week. GL drivers. Plenty of other companies that pay more with benefits and credible. May i also add that their trailer yard is full of out of service trailers and they cant tell which are road ready, Lol.
