श्रीमान अमृततुल्य (Shreeman Amruttulya)

In Marathi and many Indian languages, the word Amrut stands for "elixir". Amrut-tulya means "like elixir". Yewale Amruttulya is a chain of tea shops across Pune, which claims to serve tea which is like elixir. It is difficult to say how many outlets the chain has, but my guess is not less than 50 as of date. These outlets are evolved, I'd say. They are surely superior to the usual "chaha chi tapri" as they're called in Marathi. The place seems to hygienic and decently done up. But they are small outlets and do not offer chairs and tables, unlike cafes. The tea is served in rather small cups, but is good, maybe a bit too sweet. But taste is surely enjoyable. Priced modestly at Rs10 a cup, the tea seems to be in good demand. My guess is that at an average outlet would be selling not less than 500 cups a day, maybe more. A good experience, if you don't mind sipping your cuppa while standing.

In Pune, I found it charming that there are many chains of tea stalls... They only serve you special tea at nominal cost of Rs.10-20. I took tea on Tewale Amruttulya...it was awesome ... Loved it..

A tea only stop over. Their tea is branded and famous. The big drawback is that the place is conjested. No chairs. You have to take tea standing. No parking facilities. E payment acceptable. A cup of a tea costs Rs. 10/-. The quantity however is small. You can finish a cup in 4-5 sips. Cups are small.
