Customer experiences
I’ll be writing this as a formerly lease on fleet owner (the leasing company isn’t involved in my complaint, it’s MY PERSONAL experience): In all my years in the trucking industry, with its inevitable ups and downs, I have never encountered such an unprofessional and disgraceful experience as I did working with this company. Without a doubt, the worst broker I have dealt with to date. On the day in question, my driver suffered a blowout at 7:32 a.m., just 15 minutes from the receiver on I-64. We had an 8 a.m. appointment, and despite the unforeseen mechanical failure, we maintained constant and transparent communication with both the customer and the assigned freight agent, Jason Thompson. Unfortunately, Mr. Thompson demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, empathy, or even basic human decency. I personally explained the situation to Mr. Thompson, and our dispatch team maintained regular updates while simultaneously coordinating emergency roadside assistance. Despite our efforts, multiple service providers—GEICO Roadside, an independent contractor, and Norstar Trailer Service—were unable to remove the damaged tire. For reference, the trailer in question is a 2024 Iron Bull gooseneck with brand-new tires and equipment, before they reply “was because they have bad equipment” Rather than acting with the minimum level of professionalism expected in this industry, Mr. Thompson chose to escalate the situation. He shouted at me on the phone, stating, and I quote, “Better the driver move his ass there and deliver the load. I don’t care if you have to chain the axle or drive it like that.” I firmly explained that operating a vehicle in that condition was a serious safety hazard. His response: “I don’t care. I’ll personally be putting your company on a Do Not Load list, and the full amount won’t be paid. Period.” He then hung up the phone. Meanwhile, my driver remained in constant communication with the receiver, who, unlike Mr. Thompson, showed understanding and professionalism. The receiver agreed to accept delivery the following morning at 8 a.m. My driver arrived at 6:47 a.m. and completed unloading at 7:30 a.m., precisely as we said we would—once the tire had been properly repaired. Despite honoring our commitment, today I was informed that this broker withheld 80% of the agreed rate, falsely citing a “late fee.” For a load covering over 650 miles, we were paid only 20%—an outrageous and unjustified penalty. It is clear this company has zero regard for safety, fair business practices, or ethical treatment of carriers. Their only interest appears to be looking for excuses to rob carriers of their rightful pay. Proceed with extreme caution when working with this company. Do so at your own risk. P.S.: If you ever break down, don’t waste your time with roadside assistance. According to Jason Thompson, he can solve your mechanical problems faster than you can blink. Though, I’d suggest you watch your tools—he seems more interested in overcharging than helping anyone.
Fantastic broker to work with. Fair, pleasant, and respectful negotiation at the beginning. Plus a great support during the load, and they provided a fair Detention with no headaches. It's a great broker to haul with!
I enjoy working with Mike and Atl simple and easy great attitude thanks hopefully we can do more business.
Communication is perfect. They value there freight, so they value there drivers as well. Very gpod compensation on loads. We love hauling for ATL, 100% recommended.
