They deserve ZERO stars, but unfortunately I can't post w/o putting at least 1 star. Worst place that we have unloaded in years! We have drove for 40+ yrs and I don't recall a worst place! Avoid this place at all expense! We loaded a load for them and drove like crazy for over 700 miles to have this load there at 7 am. Arrived at 7 am just to sit until after 5 pm to get unloaded. They fibbed so much about why we were not getting unloaded that they could not keep their story straight. The office had 2 different stories from the fork lift driver. I don't care what the story is, this is UNACCEPTABLE! It's expected to wait for a bit, but for 10+ hours is so disgusting and disrespectful to expect anyone to wait that long. We are not company drivers. O/O and had to cancel the next 2 loads that we had scheduled due to sitting here so long. Let that sink in just before the holidays. We sure can't tell the kids that Santa can't come to our house because Central States made us sit for so long that we actually lost revenue this week due to their negligence. But why would Central States care...they sure didn't lose any revenue that day! If you think that this is a fluke, don't be alarmed, according to the workers of the 2nd shift this is normal. Usually this kind of behavior takes place on 2nd shifts when not as many Escalade driving big bosses are not around. Apparently, the 2nd shift has to pick up the 1st shifts slack at this company. Have some respect for the fellow human. We are all just trying to get by in this economy and places like this could care less about anyone other than themselves!
Read reviews, DO NOT COME HERE. Had an appointment at 6am tried to find someone offload me, spoke to workers and office personnel. At 0940 I see an employee arrive park and approach me and said he will offload me. You were warned
Hmmm, I’m guessing Central States trucks have priority over us common carriers. I’ve been at the unloading pad at receiving for over an hour and 45 minutes. Their truck pulls in behind me and gets unloaded before me . I was here at 0830 for a 0900 appointment and I seen the forklift driver 1 time and didn’t even acknowledge I was sitting here waiting patiently. Low and behold like magic he reappeared to unload the Central truck first then disappeared again. Some folks here seem nice but their work ethic really needs to be questioned and or improved or just hire a fork lift driver to unload trucks.
