I’ve been a client for 3 years now for 3 different cats all with very different health issues and needs. I love the folks at City Pets. The receptionists, techs and vets are all fantastic and care is personalized. They’re so accommodating for my spicy boy by letting him snuggle with his kitten during exams or letting me bring in my girl in an alternative carrier because she can’t stand normal carriers. They always give me options for treatment with cost breakdowns and I never feel like I’m pushed to pay more than I need to. I always get the final say for what investigations we do. They are able to do some imaging and procedures on site (ie labs, ultrasound, IV fluids) which is helpful as an interim step before going to the emergency department. They can also do some oral surgeries on site. When urgent issues have come up in the past they have bent over backwards to get me a same day or next day appointment. We’ve seen multiple vets there over the years and all give consistent good quality care. I’ve confidently referred friends here because I know their fur babies are in good hands. I genuinely believe they care for my kitties and always leave feeling well taken care of. My kitten literally can’t wait to visit and never wants to leave when we visit because she loves them so much. You can’t go wrong with City Pets.
City pets clinic is fantastic. I have nothing but good things to say about my experiences with them. When I noticed something was up with my cat Maya during the Covid quarantine I was pretty stressed about getting her the help she needed. City pets took her in as a patient without delay, quickly found she was diabetic and were able to provide me with the medication and instructions I needed to treat her A.S.A.P. After that I continued bringing her there; and they were great with all subsequent exams we came in for. Their professional assistance bought us an additional 5 years of time with Maya; and when the hard time came that we had to say goodbye they were just as helpful and professional as they were from the day we came in. It stings that Maya is gone, and probably always will; but I couldn’t have asked for better assistance while she was still here. With their help I got to have 18 long years with one of the best cats anyone could have asked for. Thank you again for all you have done! I highly recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone and their pet in need.
BEWARE!! Would NEVER recommend City Pets! My dog was “diagnosed” with arthritic hips and Dr Mulley started her on cartrophen shots, after she had to literally google the symptoms right in front of me. She also had me buying extremely expensive hypo-allergenic dog food, which turned out to be unnecessary since she never bothered to allergy test. The cartrophen wasn’t working and my dogs health was declining. We had several visits with Dr Mulley and many painful shots and $1000’s of dollars later my dog started losing her bladder. I took her to hillside pets for a second opinion, since she was rapidly losing weight and her pain wasnt improving. The vet there very seriously asked if Dr Mulley had done any blood tests or scans? Crying now, I said “no” and told her what had happened to date. She kindly offered to run the tests free of charge since I was out so much money already and now terrified of losing my dog over this, which proved that my poor sweet baby had a serious kidney issue that she should have been treated for months back. This was now the beginning of the end of her life, as she would likely be in kidney failure at some point. I had stayed home with her to give her round the clock care, as she could no longer support herself to urinate, not realizing the severity of the issue. I had to make the excruciating decision to have her put down at 11pm in the emergency vet clinic, as we would not be able to wait for a home visit from another vet. To make matters worse, Dr Mulley just happened to be working the night shift at the clinic. She walked out behind the desk, looked up and me and down at my dog, wrapped in a blanket and cradled in my arms while my mom and I cried, then turned on her heel and walked out of the room. Not so much as a hello or any consideration for my feelings. The icing on the cake was one week later when I received two pieces of mail: one was a condolences card from Hillside Vet, saying so sorry for my loss (I’d been there ONCE), the other was an appointment reminder from Dr Mulley. She was unprofessional, often had to consult online databases to search for information she clearly did not know, cost me a ton of money, and KILLED MY DOG. A+ to Hillside Vet for their incredible compassion and professionalism. Go there instead.
