***EDIT*** I have since spoken to Holly the owner of CIC and she reassured me that they will look into the issue I was having. She was very sweet and understanding of my side of things. I am hopeful for future interactions with my new Rep Gina. I have bumped my stars to 4 for Holly's superb customer service and customer relations. I have been using Community Insurance for over 2 years now and I am very frustrated with the Customer Service. Every time I have gotten on the phone with them they are very rude and snippy when I try to ask questions on what rates would be. I am a single income father of 3 with a stay at home wife and I always would like to know what it costs per month on my insurance when I add a new vehicle because I need to know what my bills will be. No matter who I have dealt with they are just flat out rude. I am not well versed in auto insurance and I try to ask questions to understand how much I am going to pay monthly (because a yearly rate is not helpful due to the fact that they charge extra for people who make monthly payments instead of paying yearly or every 6 months). It should not be my job to try to guess on what monthly rates are. I work at Michigan CAT, also in an office and do much computer work. I am always very patient with customers who dont understand billing and am even patient with customers getting belligerent. I always call with a friendly tone and try to be understanding but am still met with rude attitudes from their employees. The only decent thing I have seen with CIC is that they get halfway decent rates for people. The customer service is almost non existing at CIC. I am going to be stopping in there to have a talk with a manager because this is downright unexceptable, and this is coming from someone who works in customer service also. I understand bad days but it has been every interaction with them where I am treated with rudeness and talked to like I am stupid. I will be speaking with a manager up there.
