I arrived about 10 minutes prior to my appointment time in order to sell my 2017 Kia Optima Hybrid. I was quickly introduced to Customer Specialist Savannah Flores and she had me sign in electronically to start the process. She reviewed my CarMax online offer, my registration and title paperwork and we test-drove the vehicle. She then took some pictures and performed a visual inspection. The pictures were sent to the CarMax appraisers while Savannah and I completed the necessary transfer paperwork. The appraisal came back in very short order, exactly matching the online offer amount. I signed a few documents and then was presented with a bank draft.They even arranged a ride home via Lyft. Total time at CarMax was just over an hour. This was a great experience, start to finish! Savannah was both professional and personable. This sure beats the frustration of selling via Craigslist or FB marketplace. Thanks to the CarMax team 👍

Took about 1 hour for all the paperwork and my wife took off with her new baby. The car my wife chose ended up having a few mechanical problems that carmax covered the cost to get repaired. The best customer service and understanding. We'll continue to do business in the future because our experience was perfect. Thank you carmax you train excellent employees who are knowledgeable about the Carmex experience. Update so carmax has a 90day or 4000 mile whatever comes first warranty on all vehicles purchased. My cadillac had 2 major repairs. I live about 2 hrs away from the closest lot ,but I was able to contact a shop local to me to fix my car. The issue with my car was not typical or Carmaxs fault for not finding. The shop manager was able to address everything with carmax for billing so i never had to get involved. I got my car back ,and it's perfect.

Reserved a car for a test drive since there was no buy option anywhere to be found. Pre-approval completed and financing set up. Added the car to our insurance since it was supposedly needed to test drive it on our own. Appointment was the next day at the same time, 11am. Got a call a few hours after scheduling asking if I had any questions. The next day I wake up to a text asking if it was a good time to text or talk regarding express pickup (I spent the previous day trying to find that very option to no avail). Replied yes and then 20 minutes later as we were leaving for our appointment I got a text saying the car is in need of serious repairs and is unavailable and asked if I wanted help finding another vehicle. My wife missed an entire day of work because CarMax couldn't bother to check the car more than an hour before we were supposed to drive an hour to be there. I appreciate they didn't sell us a dud we would have had to return but more advanced notice than as we walk out the door would have made it a much more positive experience. Instead we had to drive 4 hours round trip three times as far for a newer model of the same car. Won't likely ever try to use them again.
