I am basing my review on the service at the hotel. I came here after a very unfortunate situation at the Park Hyatt that caused me to cancel my stay there. I was upset but I have to say that staying here made up for it. The staff at this property couldn't be nicer. My room has a beautiful view of the harbor. I was able to turn out the lights in my room and get a front row seat for the Drone Light Show on Saturday night. The Club Lounge staff is fabulous. The view there is also nice and the Happy Hour and Breakfast services are great. I usually avoid larger properties when traveling on personal trips but I am not disappointed with my stay here at all. The location is central and I was able to walk to so many great spots. I averaged 15k steps a day and that makes me a happy girl. Thanks for the hospitality!
Stayed for 4 nights. |The good bits, receptionists throughout have been very good and helpful. The location is excellent, a passageway from the rear of the hotel leads to steps which lead you directly into Darling Harbour. The Lobby Bar made great cocktails.|Our room (initially) was perfectly adequate for our needs, the shower pressure however just about reaches your head. The bed was king size and comfortable. In room safe was modern and the TV a decent size. WiFi was always good. |The not so good bits. DO NOT accept room 1225! It is on the 12th floor and is the nearest room to the Zephyr Bar. Customers leaving the bar are frequently drunk and very noisy as they wait for a lift. We had to complain at 01:30am about the noise even though the bar states it closes much earlier. Even after complaining noise was still happening. No one from the hotel checked in with us later in the day.|We went to reception later and they facilitated a room move. |Housekeeping is hit and miss. We had to ask for the toilet to be cleaned on arrival. We had to ask for fresh mugs as they were missing, tea bags and milk not replenished. |It is a big hotel and so issues will arise. The hotel dealt with them but surely the frequent complaints about the noise from the bar should be sorted. It is a hotel not a nightclub and residents are paying $100’s a night.
We absolutely loved the customer service, the location, the beds, the club lounge and the staff. Everyone was so helpful and attentive. Our view was terrific, and we could watch the fireworks in our PJs!! The rooms have sleek, modern lines. However, I don’t know about other rooms — our was a King, Harbor view, club room — but ours had zero drawers for clothes! There is a small armoire with hanging space and a drawer underneath the hanging area that was taken up mostly by the safe. No shelves for clothes. No luggage rack or bench to lay even a carry-on. Nothing. We had to keep our clothes on the floor on top of a suitcase. When I mentioned this in a survey on our 3rd day, 2 luggage racks and a plastic set of drawers appeared in our room when we got back that evening. If all the rooms are designed with no clothes storage, then the rooms were designed by a man! No woman would have done this! Take out the ironing board and put in shelves, at least.
