Response to owner's reply: Surprisingly, I was able to level the machine. ---+-- I attempt to use professionals for all of my services to my home, particularly expensive purchases. When I heard that Canadian Appliance Supply (CAS) offer delivery I was happy to pay the $45.00 to have them deliver my new washer and pedestal. I expected a professional crew, with an understanding of how to install the units, attach the two units for safe operation and to treat my family and home with respect. Unfortunately, I received none of that. The washing machine was not level, the washing machine was not fastened to the pedestal using the main brackets provided. The other two brackets were barely installed. The washer shipping bolts were removed but were not left with the unit. A call-back for another technician to correct the installation was unsuccessful and they contradicted the manual on levelling the washer saying that "it only needs to be adjusted so it does not rock" while the manual states that the washer must be levelled using a bubble level. He did not bring the necessary tools nor the personnel to fix the issue. The shipping screws and brackets required to install the washer on the pedestal had been discarded. This required CAS to exchange the pedestal, perfectly functional except for the missing brackets, for a new one at no cost to us. We ended up refusing any further assistance from their install teams and CAS was unable to guarantee a competent crew from the install team. I'll figure out how to lift the 200 lb washing machine onto the pedestal and do the installation myself. To CAS' credit, they did provide us with a new pedestal to get the missing brackets to us, at a cost of $150.00 out of their own pocket and said they were going to refund us the $40.00 installation fee. I think they would be better off to dump LTI and hire their own appliance installers. Hoping that the two are in discussion about training and customer service. Their problem at this point, not mine. I'm never going back to CAS for an appliance. If you want the complete story, read on... I submitted an exchange request for the Electrolux pedestal that I purchased on the above order. This was completely preventable return if the team sent to install the washing machine and pedestal purchased had done their job correctly. I thought it was worthwhile to write to explain the issues and allow you to fix the problems. The attached images show the degree the washing machine was out of level, the large gap from the wall and the state of the bracket installation on the pedestal. The original installation team did not level the washing machine. Did not install the washing machine on the pedestal correctly; they used only the front brackets. The front brackets, when installed to the pedestal only used one screw in the base, not the two indicated and the feet were improperly screwed into the washing machine making proper installation of the screw on the left side impossible. They did complain that the tap leaked, I acknowledge this and did state that I would deal with that issue myself. They assured me when asked that the machine was ready to run when I spoke to them on the phone. The leak was not severe and when I turned the tap fully on there was no continuing leak. The pedestal was not levelled prior to installing the washing machine which is indicated in the instructions as the required installation procedure. A follow-up visit was arranged with your Customer Care team under CC514673. We followed up with your customer care team by e-mail and phone call to inform them that the rear brackets were missing and the individual who came on Friday, Sept. 23 did not have the brackets and was unaware that levelling the washing machine is necessary to ensure proper functionality. I asked him to acknowledge this fact to his management and only signed the form that he presented when he indicated that it was strictly to inform us that he was at our house. We added a note stating that he was unable to fix the problem and it is still broken.
Placed an order from Canadian Appliance. LTi came to deliver the order today. Refused to take the old washer and dryer, and left the new ones outside. Said my handrail should have been removed before they came. Refused to wait. The handrail took 4 minutes to take off. We talked about it for 12 minutes.
Ordered a washer from Canadian Appliance Store. The two gentlemen that delivered my washer were amazing very kind and courteous. They did an amazing job removing the old washer and placing the new one in the exact spot. Very polite and friendly. Keep up the great work
