⭐ 0 STAR EXPERIENCE ⭐ First time — and definitely our last. We were excited to try Parkway Fitness & Racquet Club… but it turned into a huge disappointment. 😞 Right from the start, the experience was off. The lady at the front desk told us we’re not allowed to bring food or drinks into the pool area unless we buy from their café. We respected the rule, paid, and entered. 👍 But once inside, we saw something completely different. Families had brought their own snacks, sandwiches, and even large coolers full of drinks! 🍕🥪🥤 Everyone was eating and drinking freely, and the staff said nothing. So why were we the only ones given strict instructions? If there are rules, they should apply to everyone, not just the newcomers. That’s not fair — it’s bad management. It didn’t end there. We were the only ones who actually showered before entering the pool 🚿 — despite clear signage. And although there are signs that say “No Diving”, adults were diving into the pool constantly 🤯. Again — rules completely ignored and no enforcement from the staff. To make matters worse, the café service was terrible. We ordered a salad and a sandwich, and it took over an hour — even after following up multiple times. 🕐🥗🥪 And we weren’t the only ones — others were also left waiting far too long. ⚠️ You seriously need to rethink your management and staff training, or you’ll keep losing your customers. ❌ Unfair rules. Poor service. No accountability. Never again.
As a physician and regular member of Parkway Fitness and Racquet Club, I value the environment this facility provides for community health and wellness. Unfortunately, I must raise a serious concern regarding the conduct of the manager, Ms. Esme Pearl. On multiple occasions, I have personally observed behavior from Ms. Pearl that was unprofessional and inconsistent with the standards expected in a customer-facing leadership role. Specifically: • Arrogant and dismissive interactions with members create an atmosphere of discomfort rather than respect. • Rudeness and offensive remarks that undermine the welcoming culture one expects in a fitness and community setting. • Instances of yelling at customers, which I have witnessed on more than one occasion. Such conduct is inappropriate and counterproductive to maintaining positive member relations. • Her perceived discriminatory behaviour is deeply concerning and unacceptable and far from the inclusive, respectful environment one would expect from a professional fitness club. A fitness club thrives when members feel respected, supported, and valued. Unfortunately, Ms. Pearl’s manner of interaction often has the opposite effect, discouraging members and diminishing the facility's reputation. I strongly recommend that the management team take these concerns seriously and address the issue to ensure the Parkway Fitness and Racquet Club remains a place where all members feel welcome and respected.
Overall, it could have been a great day with a good review! BUT !!! The cashier Nya suddenly said that we can't pay in cash. Suddenly! Nobody told us when we made an order , or when we paid admission( we paid in cash )And cash payment was possible. And then - other customers came up and also decided to pay in cash, she said that they had to wait 30 minutes, because there was no change. But they had an amount that did not require change and she had to take money from them and then it turned out that we can pay in cash, they just didn't have change. But that's not all! Even after Nya was given small change - she refused to give me change , saying (this is a quote) - "I don't know how to use this money". And this is the cashier who pays customers! Friday evening, a full pool of visitors! When I asked to invite the manager, the answer was - "the manager went to change money" - are you serious?! Do you have a manager to go and change money? While I was standing with my 2 year old child and waiting for the manager to bring change, a child came up to buy a snack for $2 and gave her $5, she told him that she didn’t have change, he shrugged and said okay. And she let him take 2 snacks without giving change! Is that normal?! You can keep extra money in the cash register, but you don’t have change? When one of the employees his name Mo, finally brought change and gave me change, I asked to see the manager and was refused. The manager is not there and it is not known when he will be, they suggested calling and finding out if the manager is on site. Disgusting organization of work! Other employees are friendly and try and apologize, but the incompetence of other team members makes all this invisible!
