Customer experiences
Hi I am a regular shopper at this great canadian store. Is your company planning to install EV chargers? The j-plug slower charging at 7-8 kwh a hour would be perfect at this location. I could shop or goto a nearby restaurant while my car charges. This location is the most central in the town.
This is often the busiest place to shop in town which results in long wait at checkout, depleted stock this the evenings. They do often have good deals which is why high volume of people shop here as well as their points program. Make sure you go bathroom, toilet your kids before you come here. I would rate there bathrooms as the worst in Whitehorse. Of the 12 years I've been shopping here there has been no updating of there facilities so bathrooms are in shambles. That's a shame since the community spends a lot of money here.
I have had three experiences in one week with pricing that were not positive. The first was a container of tomatoes that were on sale but, when I checked out (self serve), it scanned at the full price. I didn’t dispute it as I had to go to a meeting. The second was over a package of tiny potatoes. They were on sale and when I scanned the package it came in at full price. I asked for assistance and the clerk asked if I had taken a photo of the sale sign. I responded that no I had not and that it was her job to confirm the price. The final incident was today over a package of cheese that was on sale. Again, it scanned at the full price. I went through quite a process of hearing excuses that it wasn’t the correct code (it was), that it didn’t apply to the cheese that I had chosen, it was the wrong weight, etc. I went and took a photo of the sale tag and was still given excuses. By the way, it was the correct cheese. I asked to speak to a manager who eventually gave me the cheese for free. I was just asking to pay the sale price. I am usually easy going in dealing with people. However, this week at Superstore has been challenging. I realize that there is human error but I would like to see better staff training, accountability and quality control. Oh and I forgot…when did the sentiment that the customer is right disappear??
Great variety of vegetables. Also carries household items. Staff very helpful. One thing to remember is yocu need a loonie to unlock the grocery cart. You get it back when you return the cart before leaving
Real Canadian Superstore 2nd Avenue is a grocery store.
