Red Roof PLUS+ Washington, DC - Oxon Hill

I got a smoking room, and the lights were flickering really bad in the bathroom, there was all types of hair in the shower drain, curtain for shower was dirty and stained. The pillows were not washed, bed wasn't properly made, and I also suspect the sheets were not fresh although I have no proof of this. The sink was pretty much in the same condition. When I told the lady that worked there, she pretty much said yeah that's what happens when people smoke cigarettes indoors. Also, the owner also loves to make up the rules as he goes. Not a bright fella though. He was also very rude and condescending. I will never be staying here again. I've been to plenty of Motels in my time. (quite a few motel 6s) This was the absolute worst. Judging by the complaints on here its very apparent in my opinion that the owner has absolutely no clue how to work with the general public. Also hope OSHA does do a random pop up. Save your money don't stay here. This is all my opinions aside from the facts that were stated. I only gave a one star review because 0 stars was not an option.

Room had ants and the floors were dirty. Dirty towels, dirty pillows need to replace them. Would NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone. It appears that there are people living in this motel full time. Old bikes and bike parts, baby strollers, and stuff hanging in the windows in some rooms. And the cigarette smoke smell is awful inside & out. See pictures attached.

This place was so MOLDY! Our ice bucket had a rim of mold, and the entire room smelt heavily of cigarettes and mold. There was even brown gunk (trying not to think the worst) on the side of our toilet paper! When checking in, the desk worker was on a personal phone call the entire time. Only giving the second star because they were the only place we could find that allows large dogs.
