If you have the opportunity to deliver at a different hospital please do so. I was treated incredibly poorly by the nurses in the mother baby unit. The nurse assigned to me continuously and openly questioned if my child was either mixed race or jaundiced (after having seen my husband and knowing that the child was not mixed, so she was openly accusing me of cheating on my husband Which…. Just…. Why?). Surprise, my baby was jaundiced - just as I’d tried to tell that nurse multiple times. The staff would not leave me alone despite having a normal delivery and healthy baby. The staff checked on us every two hours for two days straight (they’re supposed to leave you alone the second night). I got a total of three hours of sleep across two days because the staff would not leave me alone. At my child’s two week appointment the pediatrician sent us home, admitting that my perfectly normal healthy child had been seen by entirely too many doctors. I begged to be discharged after 24 hours, but they basically held me hostage for two days. They also failed to bill our insurance correctly and hounded me with past due notices for months afterwards. Lo and behold - once the insurance was corrected we owed nothing. To add to it all they also failed to file the birth certificate for over two months. The state of Virginia had to step in and force them to file the paperwork.

I am a representative of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 10 Health and Welfare. I have attempted over 10 times in the last 6 months to have now 9 bills sent to us as a secondary to Medicare. Your billing providers are not doing their job. I have bills that are almost a year old. I have talked to people in person at St Francis to be told there is no billing department. I talked to a representative in OK, she advised she would try to help and I never heard from her again. We DESPARATELY need to get these bills paid for our members. I am now going to send this and post on ANY account reviews so I can to get your attention and take care of my members.

I have seen several providers over the years going to this practice, Dr. Buchanan is the best. He is friendly, a great listener, and a superb physician. I know I am in good, thoughtful hands when I see him regardless of whether my current issue is big or minor. He is just as attentative to both. Thank you, Dr. Buchanan for your care.
