RJ's Auto Body Plus

I came onto their lot driving my old Chevy Tracker. I had damaged the tailgate, and I was hoping to get some kind of repair that wouldn't cost a lot. I'd been checking in with folks around the country that might have a used tailgate and found that I would have to pay anywhere from $100 to $150 for the tailgate, and then I would have to pay shipping. So, I was there at J&M hoping for a solution that wouldn't be so expensive. I started with J&M simply because it was the closest body shop to my home, according to Google Maps. Lena invited me into the office where it was cool. She called for assistance and after a little while Jaime appeared and I met him at the rear of my little truck. We discussed the expense of making the tailgate perfect again, and I suppose he detected my reluctance to spend so much because he shifted to discussing some repairs he could do in his shop while I waited. He drove my Tracker into his shop and I waited in the air-conditioned office and chatted with Lena. After about 30 minutes Jaime parked my truck in front of the office and I came out to see what he had done, quietly wondering how much this was going to cost me. He showed me what he'd done and I was amazed! He explained what else he could do to make it look better, but I was satisfied, still wondering though what I would have to pay. I asked him and he told me it wouldn't be anything, but I insisted until he took 20 dollars from me. Jaime was so kind, and his work so good. Lena was such a joy, conversing with me while I waited. I will tell anyone in need of body work to check in with Jaime at J&M before spending a lot of money somewhere else.

Literally just showed up at 4:30 on a Friday…they got my bumper reattached, when I thought it was all broken. Looks much better. He wouldn’t even accept payment for it. Will definitely come back for further body work needs on my Subaru! Pics show before and after.

I had a great experience with J&M Auto! They were friendly, gave me the best price by far compared to other local shops, and did a great job painting the roof of my car. The paint looks fantastic—they took care of the rust from exposed metal where the old paint had peeled, and they even patched up some rock chips on the hood without me asking (and didn’t charge extra). The whole job was done in just 4 days. I’d definitely recommend them and will use them again if my car needs any more paint work.
