I've been trying out different hair salons in the area to find one that I want to be loyal to. This is the one. I'll be coming here to get my hair cut until I leave Montréal. The ambiance was very nice, the hairstylist Marco was super nice and polite doing small talk here and there and gave me a haircut that I loved. You should always be feeling pretty and happy about your hair when leaving a hair salon and it was definitely the case for me. My boyfriend also loved my haircut as I got jumped on (in a good way) as soon as I got home.
The haircut was just okay. I asked for a simple haircut with no heat, but the stylist went ahead and used excessive heat — first a super hot blowout straight on wet hair, then curling it, and finally straightening it again when the styling didn’t turn out right. Whenever I asked him to stop as I don't tend or like to apply lots of heat to my hair, he said my hair could handle up to 500°C, that it was really nice and strong, and that it wouldn’t be damaged since I don’t style it often. Now, almost three weeks later, parts of my hair are still fried and not back to how they were even before the appointment. Totally disregarded my request, not professional, and I wouldn’t recommend this place. The only plus was the receptionist who was very kind.
I LOVED my experience. Adriana gave me a great "soins des pieds" while Farzaneh/Fery gave me a beautiful gel polish. I will DEFINITELY be going back.
