Shannon Wellington Weddings & Events

My husband and I had a two year engagement before our October 2022 wedding, and about a year into planning, I had booked all of the major vendors but was still feeling stressed about all the decisions that still needed to be made. I reached out to Shannon Wellington Weddings, who I had been following for a while on Instagram, and originally inquired about month-of coordination. After talking with Michelle on the phone, I decided to go with SWW for full planning services and I am SO happy we did. Even for a very organized, type-A person like me, wedding planning was stressful and was starting to feel like a second job. I was having trouble keeping up with everything, and bringing in the experts to take planning off my plate instantly relieved the stress and made the months leading up to our wedding so much more enjoyable. Michelle took care of everything from communicating with all of our vendors, managing deposit deadlines, coordinating the day-of timeline, and much more, while proactively handling issues along the way. She was super organized and responsive, and anytime something came up or I voiced a worry (there were a few Bridezilla moments), she was ready to go with a plan and a reminder that everything was going to be okay. There is no one I would rather have in control of all the details than Michelle, and I think the best part of the planning process was definitely the day-of coordination. Not only did we get to hang out with Michelle all day which totally put us at ease, but as a bonus, we also had Chris from the SWW team for day-of coordination to add even more assurance that everything would go 100% perfectly. Michelle and Chris are AWESOME people and so much fun. I truly felt like they were good friends by the end of the weekend. Chris even saved the day when we forgot our champagne toasting glasses (used by my in-laws at their wedding!) at home, and drove to our house to pick them up. Michelle and Chris thought of everything, kept things running smoothly, and allowed us to simply enjoy our day, which was the best wedding gift of all. I don’t even know where to start! Shannon and her team were amazing in helping plan my wedding from day 1 through wedding day. Shannon definitely helped keep me organized and always had great ideas throughout the design process. I cant thank her enough!

Could not recommend Shannon Wellington Weddings enough! I did a lot of research and budgeting to figure out if we could afford a wedding a coordinator, and which one to hire. A coordinator seemed like a luxury, but I realized I'd much rather cut costs in other areas in order to be able to enjoy my wedding day -- and I am SO glad I did! Everyone told me my wedding day would fly by and I totally get why, but my SWW Coordinator, Michelle, allowed me to stay present and soak up the day while she made sure everything was perfect. :) My whole bridal party just adored her! We also had an assistant coordinator, Jenny, who helped out the day of and she was also amazing! Michelle and Jenny asked me and my husband what our favorite drinks were, and made sure they were in our hands right after the ceremony (and kept them coming as we socialized after!). They just really made the day so magical! If you've budgeted for a coordinator, hire Shannon Wellington Weddings. If you haven't budgeted for a coordinator, cut some lighting/flowers/etc. and hire Shannon Wellington Weddings. :D
