DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE !!! I used a moving broker to move my furniture from Arkansas to Texas. I was quoted a cost of $5100.00 ($950 deposit) for the move. Star Line Trucking was the company that delivered my furniture. The dispatcher told me that the balance was $8891.00. I was then informed that the balance due must be paid in cash or US post office money order before the driver unloads my furniture. The driver was to deliver the furniture on Saturday afternoon. They did not arrive until Sunday evening at 6:00. ONCE AGAIN, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE !!!
This company is a 3rd party moving company called AB moving. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you want to be scammed out of thousands of dollars. Our children’s play equipment has missing screws, and my son’s bed. They didn’t inform us of any of this when they were putting the furniture back together, which has created a They didn’t inform us of any of this when they were putting the furniture back together, which has created hazardous situations for my kids. What if my kid is on the bed and it breaks because it’s missing screws? What if his triangle jungle gym breaks when he’s playing on it because it’s missing a What if his triangle jungle gym breaks when he’s playing on it because it’s missing screws and they didn’t tell us they lost them? They didn’t put our furniture all back together. my son‘s bed has a slide that’s supposed to be attached to it and they just left that off to the side They packed A mattress we told him not to take, so we had to pay for The space that took up on the truck They packed up our couch and we told them we weren’t taking the couch. They took the couch off the truck, but they left all the cushions on the truck. We had to pay a Company $200 to take the couch frame to the dump, we lost $100 we would’ve gotten from selling the couch, and we also had to pay for the space that the cushions took up on the truck. When the cushions got to delivery. We told them not to give them to us because we would have to pay for them to be taken to the dump again, and they told us that they already disposed of them. After they left, I saw that they actually hid the couch cushions in our garage. I was packing up some pictures with bubble wrap when they stopped me and insisted on using their own packing materials and then at the end of it, they charged me $200 for that There was also a $700 charge that was not in our original quote, even though this charge applied to our gym equipment that they already knew about. When they loaded the equipment on the truck, they didn’t let us know that it was going to be an additional charge, and to this day, I don’t specifically know what equipment it was that created. The bulky item charge and the lady is not calling me back to give me any clarity, even though I asked her to. Our dresser is damaged and there was no attempt to fix it Overall, the communication was awful. I called to talk to the customer service lady, Liz, and she did not sound empathetic or understanding at all. She didn’t sound like she wanted to help me and she still hasn’t called me back.
What a disaster! When our boxes and furniture arrived, every single box was smashed. Also, a small end table that was teak and purchased at Scandinavian designs that cost me $650, was totally destroyed. The bottom tray was smashed. Oh, and they couldn’t find the top tray at all! I filed the claim, and received an email that all they would reimburse me was $15 because I didn’t buy insurance. This was a disaster of a trucking/moving company from the onset. This wasn’t s cheap move by the way - $4,500 to move a dozen boxes and a bedroom set. The people loading the truck were absolutely jerks on top of everything else.
