Landlord hired them to work on rental. Dug before calling proper utilities. Way more to complain about but if that first part doesn't make you think twice then nothing else I have to say will. Edit after owner repsonse... Just because you can do something doesnt mean you should? I noticed worked stopped for days when a yellow wire was hit. Probably would have been best to call before digging yeah? And those original three pits you dug didnt work and you had to dig a full on trench to properly slope the main drain. Now we have a clean out that sits too high and the cover won't close. and a nice sinkhole has formed where you guys didnt backfill good enough. Like I said I had more to complain about but I didnt want to throw it all out. On top of that they left Oatey Primer/glue next to freshly broken fence pickets. Just because the company is 40 years old just means you purchased or were handed down the name. The quality of work or lack of communication speaks to the current state and my experience. I was very pleased with the service from Armoured Plumbing. They went out of their way to help me get my water heater replaced as quickly as possible, even picking up my order for me at Home Depot. Alan was a great technician, he explained how everything worked and why he replaced certain things. He was very polite and informative. Their pricing was very very fair! I will definitely use them again.

Last 2 times they just cleared the drain and we paid a fair price. This time when the young technician seemed to struggle with the drain, there was a noticeable shift to a sales pitch for other completely unrelated items. We didn't know the meter was running while he typed up quotes and the bill was 2.5X higher than it was 45 days earlier. Not to mention the sink still drains slow. I paid of course but contested the bill and the owner got defensive. So we are going to avoid armoured even though we are neighbors.
