Small shop, not a big variety of lactose free products.
Very nice Polish shop offering fresh produce, including meats, snacks and other treats that you won't always find at your regular big supermarket chains. Neatly organized, well stocked shelves and just a clean store throughout which is very important in the current situation. Staff appeared very friendly, with a kind manner, offering me help and suggestions with some certain food that I was after in the area.
Be careful! The price displayed is not always the price you will be charged at the till! (The latter being higher, of course). When it happened to me, I pointed it out to the woman at the till, and I was told that her colleague had "forgotten to update the price". In a customer-friendly shop, the wronged customer would be offered a refund of the difference in price in that case. Clearly, that's NOT one of those shops. The woman didn't even understand what I was complaining about - after all, she had accepted the item back in return for my money (i.e. cancelled the transaction). I must add I spoke Polish with her, so she should have understood at least her native language. Be warned, by the way, that not all staff there speak even basic English. Oh, and when I asked whether they didn't really care about their customers, she replied "no". That sort of sums it up. Luckily, there are plenty of other shops selling Polish food in the neighbourhood.
