I got a digital perm with Kenneth and I absolutely love the result. The curls look very natural, not stiff at all, and it’s easy to style and maintain. This was hands-down the worst haircut I have ever received. I went in for a simple, straight trim on my long hair, nothing complicated — and walked out with visibly uneven, over-thinned, sloppy ends. I noticed the unevenness immediately and asked Kenneth to fix it. Somehow, it was made even worse. Weeks later, my hair still looks awful. The perimeter is inconsistent, the ends are stringy, and there are random longer pieces throughout. This is not a “styling issue” or “personal preference” — it is objectively poor workmanship. I’ve attached photos so people can see exactly what I’m talking about. What makes this situation far worse is how the salon handled it afterward. I contacted them multiple times and was explicitly told I would be given a refund. They then avoided my calls, contradicted themselves, and ultimately told me they “don’t do refunds.” I was then told — directly — that I would only receive my money back if I removed this review. That is not accountability. That is an attempt to buy silence after providing a substandard service. I was polite, patient, and gave this salon every opportunity to resolve this privately. Instead, I was ignored, misled, and pressured to take down my honest review in exchange for a refund that was promised and never delivered. If you care about your hair or ethical business practices, do not go here. A bad haircut is one thing. Refusing responsibility and trying to suppress honest reviews is another. Response to Owner (to clarify the record): Your response contains multiple inaccuracies, which I will correct clearly and honestly since that was omitted from your reply to me: • I did raise concerns during the appointment. The haircut was visibly uneven immediately. I asked Kenneth to fix it in the chair, and the result was worse. That is why photos were taken in the salon with staff assistance. The claim that “no concerns were raised” is false. • I contacted the salon afterward because the haircut remained uneven and became more apparent over time. I was explicitly told by your staff that a refund would be issued. That promise was later reversed. • I was never informed of a seven-day refund or redo policy at the time of service. Policies that are not disclosed cannot reasonably be enforced retroactively, especially after a refund has already been promised (what your front desk promised me when I called on 12/15). • I was told directly that a refund would only be provided if I removed this review. That is the reason this review remains public. Conditioning a refund on review removal is not resolution, it is coercion. • I declined a redo because the initial “fix” already worsened the haircut. Expecting a client to trust the same provider again after that experience is unreasonable. • I did not raise my voice, threaten staff, or behave aggressively. Advocating for myself after receiving a visibly poor service and being given contradictory information does not constitute aggression. Referencing call logs, CCTV footage, or the number of clients you service does not change what happened in your salon or what was communicated to me afterward. That language reads as intimidation rather than accountability. At this point, I strongly urge anyone considering this business to read the negative reviews, not just the positive ones. My experience is not isolated. Many reviewers describe uneven or over-thinned haircuts, poor corrective work, and dismissive or defensive responses when concerns are raised. When multiple clients report similar outcomes and similar treatment, that is no longer a misunderstandings, it’s clearly a pattern. Because the salon failed to honor a refund that was explicitly promised, I am now disputing the charge through my bank, where the matter is under independent review. I am sharing this so others can make an informed decision. Based on my experience and the experiences of others, I would strongly recommend proceeding with extreme caution or choosing a different salon altogether.

I had colouring and balayage done with Kenneth. He was very communicative and the process is super smooth. The haircut and styling are also very detailed and matches the hair colour well. For reference, I asked for a brown base with silver toned/lighter brown highlights. I would recommend getting your hair done with him!
