Caisse Desjardins du Quartier-Latin de Montréal

I opened an account with Desjardins online with an appointment. After doing so, I came to this location to figure out why my account was opened in a location called La Tuque, a place I've never even heard of before. When I asked if I could do anything about this here, in the place where the person was supposed to open my account, the attendant told me "That's very far away." Yes, I'm aware. That's the problem. Having an account bound to a location in modern times is absurd. I'm not planning a trip to a town 3 hours away to deal with a mistake of this bank. The attendant was otherwise very unhelpful, and didn't even let me schedule an appointment with anyone there to maybe talk to someone who had more common sense, but I doubt that exists here anyways. I've since used TD bank instead. But I still haven't been able to close my account here, despite calling over 6 times, and being told that someone will call me back each time. They never will. It's a total lie. It's an elitist scam with backwards policies. There are much more convenient and friendly options.

I'm still in front of the bank and a tall black man was answering me let's say that he could be more joyful and polite at the counters and I went with my card Desjardins and a birth certificate plus the temporary health card I just want to replace my card but I couldn't even if I enter in my account really bank Desjardin is probably the worst place we're you can open an account the card itself is cheap and have alot of difficulty and I was part of those 3 millions user leaked information and they protected us for 5 years xD what a fckg joke anyway tired of Desjardins

Every single time I'm there, the front desk lady just ruins the experience. Very hostile, suspicious, and prejudiced in approach- never understands (nor cares) what I say and always does the WRONG thing. I ask for someone, and she books me somebody completely different- ASK if you didn't get what I said. Right, you don't care. I ask for a service, saying I have an account here, she keeps asking if I even have an account here, and why I'm here. Always think it's a one time off thing, but every single time, it's miserable. Enough is enough. Avoid.
