I am giving 3 stars because the staff is a 5 star! But the ER doctor a 3 star. Really nice man. Great Hawaiian shirt. Soft spoken. Those are the positives. I left the ER after being told “you’re just gonna have to power through”. You are having some “psycho somatic symptoms of doom and gloom” from the stress in your life. My symptoms were extreme dizziness, fainting feeling, nausea, weakness, heart racing and palpitations. I never lost consciousness however I had felt like I would constantly for 1/2 the day. I shared my right ear had been flushed several weeks ago and asked him to check it. He forgot so I reminded him. He could not first locate the instrument to the opening in my ear and had to try again. Then struggled to see into the ear as his vision is obviously challenged. He said it’s fine and dismissed. Gave me nothing to help regulate my disorientation and dizziness or nausea. I felt so sick all night I woke and called my favorite PA David Adler and they got me in. Quickly addressed my symptoms and gave me an anti nausea med in office. Waited 10 minutes then gave me an exam and saw the ear irritation and some fluid. I was able to walk without someone holding me and after 24 hours of following his protocol I am stabilizing the vertigo symptoms and although not 100% I am on mend. The area of growth here is Dr. Marc I am sure your a great guy and have practice 40 years successfully, it may be time to retire. I was not helped by your care. I was communicating all the signs my body was telling me, not “making them up”. I would return to Sequoia based on everyone else I encountered! I had an IV and blood draw that was effortlessly done , was checked in quickly and they helped me to a wheel chair. The humor of the nurses put me at ease when I was clearly not well. Thank you. My labs are all in and they clearly show I was not making up and certainly did not need to be told to power through. I hope you now understand how sick I felt and that their was a valid reason and you could have helped me with treatment but you chose not to or you simply were not equipped to. Please use this as a learning experience. Help the ER patients by listening. Discover what is NOT causing it and eliminate risks THEN help them stabilize their symptoms until further tests can be done to diagnose. That is all-you had to do. If your opinion is this patient has to tough it out. Keep those words to yourself. Thank you staff you all are great.
Excellent care; amazing surgeons. Beautiful facility, friendly staff. Community Hospital I have used for years thru 5 surgeries, the flu complications,, and several episodes of pneumonia. It is beloved by all; I call it the “Cadillac of hospitals’ for all the previous reasons.
Well, I just went in on April 15 to have a total knee replacement. I have to be there by 5 o’clock in the morning. The first person I saw was the Security second person was admitting. I was greeted politely with a big smile on her face I was sent to a waiting room where I waited with a couple other people The weight was probably 10 minutes tops I was greeted. I was given my information I was taken to recovery where they started me with an IV and they gave me a warm blanket. The nurses were there were very sweet very kind and caring. Then I saw the anesthesiologist and my doctor And then I was taken to surgery after surgery I went to recovery for an hour and a half I was greeted again with the nurses very nice very kind very caring. Then I was sent to my room in the third floor. I don’t remember all the nurses names because of the drugs that they gave me. But what I can say, is that they did take excellent care of me the way I was supposed to be taken care of. Everyone treated me with top respect. I saw my physical therapist. They had me walking the same day, of course I walked the halls bc of the nerve block, bc I knew I could. They did the rounds in the middle of the night to check on me. To make sure I was OK. I couldn’t have asked for a better Hospital to take care of me for my total knee replacement and they were very kind and sweet to my family as well. That’s a plus! so yes I would have surgery at Sequoia HOSPITAL again if I need one, which I hope I don’t. Thank you so much for everyone that took good care of me. May God bless you all.
