the no smoking signs here are obviously for show. in reality, the guards chain smoke in the corners near the entrance and let patients do the same, at cost to those who come there to treat lung sensitivities and diseases. there are piles of cigarette butts near every door.

My short stay at this hospital was above and beyond as usual. However, this time around I had one of the best, most caring nurse I’ve ever met at any hospital. Nurse Susan made me feel seen, heard- and that’s one of the most important feelings to feel especially when you’re in most vulnerable position in your life. She went above her calling. Thank you Susan and to all the wonderful nurses, doctors and staff at SJGH that helped with my recovery ❤️‍🩹

I recently had my first GI endoscopy procedure at San Joaquin General Hospital, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional care I received. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed and at ease. The nurses were super kind and attentive, taking the time to explain each step of the process. Their thoroughness helped me feel super calm, especially when my nerves started to kick in. Thank you

My mom was pregnant and she had her appointments at this hospital she was close to her due date and she was going to get a C-section and they had to give her a day to arrive so they can deliver her baby. The day was 01/01/25.We got here at 5:00 am they told us we were the only ones due for today. they said they had to get here all ready for the surgery. the nurses They couldn’t find my mom’s veins and inserted many needles to the point where my moms arms got bumps. they told us we had to wait because they setting up the room and we needed to wait for 2 hours. 2 hours passed and no one came, time just kept running. it hit 2:30 and they came saying they it was going to have to be rescheduled because they had to many people today but the thing is that they told us we were the only ones due programed for that day.They also told us they were low on employees. The sent us home and asked us to come the next day so we did. Everything went well but they had to take my sister to another facilite due to my mom’s blood sugars which is understandable. The next day the let me in to see my sister and stayed but i went out because i needed to go get something from the room.I came back to go back in with my sister and they refused me because they said i was under age but they let me in before. They were really rude they didn’t even let me get my stuff and didn’t even let me tell my parents. They were really rude expect the night care nurse she was super nice . I would recommend to go to another hospital if we knew it was going to be like this we would of not came. I regret changing my moms opinion to coming here.They also gave us a room but we had to share bathrooms with next door. The bathrooms didn’t have showers and when we need to shower they took us to the other side of the building and the water was cold they had to warm it up for 20 minutes and the water still was cold
