Novant Health Urgent Care – Charleston West (Formerly Doctors Care)

Recently moved to West Ashley and was in need of medical care. Chose Doctors Care as I had used them in the past in Summerville with positive experience. This location proved to be excellent as well. Made an appointment on line, walked in, registered at the desk and called minutes later by the nurse. Wait time to see Dr Story was minimal. He was friendly, listened, did his exam and provided his diagnosis. Prescribed drugs to address the problem and sent me on my way. At most was less than 30 minutes start to finish. I'm sure there will be times when wait times are longer but its worth the wait for quality care. I will certainly use them again when the need arises and unfortunately the need will arise.

I was greeted by a very sweet receptionist. This facility and providers gave excellent care and the staff was kind and supportive. I definitely recommend this DC location. I made a same day online appointment that got pushed back twice. I should’ve called and had a walk-in appt. I think there’s an automated system that sent the delays.The receptionist also told me she “hoped l felt better soon” when l left. That was pleasantly surprising.

The wait time here is never long and the doctor that I've seen there quite a few times is Dr. Loraine Booze and she has cared more for me than my own primary care. She cares about what is wrong and has no problem treating you with the medication needed for your situation. My doc always sends me home and tells me to just watch for further signs like he can't ever really help me. I've been back and forth for Months over my fingernails and skin peeling. She is the only one that gave me the correct medicine to help. Thank you so much doctor Booze I really really appreciate you!
