I don’t normally write reviews or posts like this, but I wanted to share my experience at DentalWorks in Robinson today 10/28/25. I went in, bc my tooth was hurting. So it was quick to get an appointment. I went years ago, and didn’t have the best experience and haven’t been back until now. Check in was fine, lady was new but friendly. The lady who took me back was friendly. A second lady, came in, she was some sort of assistant. She was going to do my X-rays, the one where you stand, and it’s located in a different room from your chair. She met me at my chair, had gloves on and was typing stuff, then carried her clipboard back and I followed to the machine. The area where I would put my mouth was covered with a dried up Lysol type wipe. She lifted it, and was explaining how to put my mouth on to take the X-ray. I asked if she could clean it, bc it looked gross & had white fuzzy stuff on it from the dried up wipe. She used to dried up wipe to wipe back and forth on it once and then tell me, plastic would go over it. Ok, fine. She did use that same dried up wipe to wipe off the spot my forehead would touch too. But then she covers the mouth spot, holding & placing the plastic with her gloves that have yet to be changed since she came in. And she came in with these gloves, So who knows how long they were on. But ok whatever. Then I go back to my seat and need more X-rays at the chair. She prepped them, then typed stuff onto the computer, used the mouse (same gloves mind you) and stood up to come put those bite block things in my mouth, the cord was stuck under the rolling stool she was on, so she bent down, turned the wheel and pulled the wrapped up wire out. Then, picks up the bite block thing, at the spot where it’s covered in plastic and is to go in my mouth. This was after touching the keyboard, mouse & her face mask many times with still these same gloves, and she just had her hand on the floor and wheel of the stool. I said can you put new gloves on, and she turned to the desk to do it. The lady who walked me back must have seen, or maybe the Lady said something to her, but the lady who walked me back initially, came in to do the X-rays instead. I said can you please change that plastic, bc she had touched it after not changing gloves and touching so many commonly used surfaces. She did and she did say something to the lady about changing gloves etc. She finished my X-rays and it was fine. The dentist had peeked in my mouth too, to check where I told him the pain was. He used a mirror, I actually do not know where it came from, he took it off the tray, where 3 tools sat on the bare tray, none taken out of plastic like I’ve seen in the past, but maybe they don’t do that. After this tho, the lady who can’t change her gloves, did come and lay a paper placement under them. The entire thing seemed so unsanitary and I will NOT be going back.
I am very disappointed with the way this clinic operates. It is shocking that this situation is still allowed to continue without any action being taken. The clinic does not appear to have a doctor on-site. Instead, a few staff members schedule appointments, and when you arrive, they simply look into your mouth, take notes, and say they will discuss everything with a doctor who is supposedly visiting the following week. After that, there is no follow-up. Even if you call, the only response you receive is that they will call you back — but they never do. Meanwhile, they charge hundreds of dollars to your insurance or send bills directly to you and aggressively follow up on payments, despite not providing proper treatment. This practice feels misleading and unprofessional. Patients deserve transparency, qualified care, and honest billing practices — none of which I experienced here.
They got me in fast for an extremely painful molar. The staff was amazing, kind and attentive. The oral surgeon was skilled, gentle and and caring. If I could give them 10 stars instead of 5 I would! They are now my new dental office and I highly recommend them!
