I added that my arrival time would be between 4am & 6am in the special instructions while booking my room online. I arrived at 5:45am. The made a strong point that check out was at 11am and that he had a lot of reservations, demanded and an additional $50 deposit.I paid the deposit, said I just needed a few hours of sleep before heading back to NC. While checking myself in the mirror, the manager popped his head in the room. I asked "can I help you?" He babbled something, apologized and left. I have NEVER been so rudely encroached, he could have at least knocked. I am not accustomed to this type of behavior, gathered my belongings and left. I was there LESS than 3 hours and paid for a full night. There seems to be several long term tenants as a portion of the walkway to the stairs is crowded with lawn chairs, a grill and a tarp. The outside wreaks if Marijuana and if there is coffee and tea in the common area, you cannot access it because the door is locked. The interior of my room showed poorly repaired patches in the ceiling. The only positive rating is the room was somewhat clean. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.
My wife and I travel quite a bit for business and pleasure. We have booked rooms with various chains at various price levels. When traveling with our dogs I usually look to Red Roof Inns because they have been accommodating. As long as the room is clean and the bed comfortable, we are good to go. For a family reunion in Indiana, I booked two rooms at this location (one deluxe king and one superior). Upon arrival, we took both dogs into the lobby to declare their presence. The male at the front desk was less than professional. I provided my name and he looked up the reservation. He immediately snapped the reservation did not include the dogs. My wife tried to explain that she believed the dogs were included on the reservation. The attendant responded in a combative attitude that they were not on the reservation. I tried to explain the German Shepherd was trained, certified and registered. I attempted to show the documentation, but he was not interested. He stated one dog stayed free and charged me extra for the other. When I got to the room, I discovered we were given the wrong room. I went to the front desk. Again, the attendant was less than professional and an unpleasant conversation ensued. I expressed my frustration by informing the attendant that I had provided the other family member with the confirmation number for the deluxe room and had he looked at the number the proper room would have issued. Once back in the room, I noticed we had not been provided the password for the "free wifi". I did not wish to have another confrontation with the attendant and did not use the wifi. The bed was comfortable. However, the floor was not clean as displayed on the bottom of my socks. There was a damaged ceiling tile. mildew/mold on the bottom of the shower curtain and an electrical outlet had the wrong style covering. As I told the attendant, there are other hotels in the area that accepts pets and in the future I will pay more for staff with professional attitudes.
The worst management ever! It says 24hr service, I just went down to simply ask for toilet paper and the manager screamed at me that it's 3am. But this is what time I get off work 😔. They charge $100 deposit and have 1 roll of toilet paper for 2 nights. This is not the first time he has yelled and made me literally 😢 cry. I've worked and stayed in hotels but never seen anything like this. His wife is ok but hands down he is the worst person I ever met!
