We spend 2 nights here, paid $500/night. Would NOT stay here again. Location was okay and room was big. Staff we met (front desk & breakfast) were pleasant and were trying, hotel was understaffed. Don't let the hotel photos fool you, this place is in bad shape. Bathroom was bad - disrepair and not clean. Both bedding and towels had what looked like blood stains. Upon seeing the bathroom I called the front desk and asked for a different room because of the "rough" bathroom, I was told the condition of the bathrooms was an issue throughout the entire hotel and they were sold out. Shower had peeling reglazing, mold around sink drain and dirt in the corners. I'm sure housekeeping was trying, they are given a rough base to work with. Also pieces of tape were left on the "art work" from previous guests. In the daylight I noticed the carpet along the bathroom wall looked moldy. When we first got to the room I noticed a strong fragrance, probably something to cover up the mold smell. I think this place is a health hazard, I ended up with a headache and burning eyes. Breakfast was not the best, I'll give a plus to having some fresh fruit. Oh and one of the two elevators was not working.

The only good thing about this place is that the girl at the front desk is very nice. In regards to the other reviews, please believe them and spare the time and headache. I was booked here for a work trip which was booked on my company's credit card. When I arrived the lady asked for my credit card and I thought it was for a safety deposit so I gave it to her thinking that the card that they had on file would obviously cover my and my coworkers stay for 4 days. Now, I'm in Lafayette with a drained credit card which normally wouldn't be a problem, but I lost my debit card at the airport and was relying on my credit card for this week. There is no way for them to look up the original card that booked the rooms so I had to call my boss late at night. It is now the following day and I was told that as long as I filled out an authorization form with the original company card, they would deauthoruze my card from the rooms. After being on the phone countless times today I was called back by the staff manager and was told that the release on my card could not be lifted because I purchased a $2 bottle of water with my card on file for the room and my company card only covers room and board and not incidentals. I asked if it was possible to return the bottle and repay for it with my card and they said no. So now I have to stay on the phone for the remainder of my trip with my work and my bank in order to be able to go home and they could seem to care less that this affected me, regardless of the fact that they should have charged the initial card on file. For some reason they would not allow us to pay for the rooms ahead of time while scheduling. This has been a nightmare of a trip with Holiday Inn and their systems are not updated enough to look up an original payment in the system. It seems disorganized, and I've been getting the runaround over a $2 water bottle now costing me $1,200 dollars.

Location is good and close to our destination. However, room service was very poor. The bathroom was broken. The main sink and bathtub did not drain water first night. The main sink faucet was also broken and came off. The night experience was terrible. And to top it off, hotel management forgot housekeeping next day. So we were left with old towels and bed not done. Later in the day the hotel management and IHG corporate support helped us to get some towels once we raised the issue. Overall, a sour experience. So, be sure to check out the bathrooms and emphasize on next day housekeeping.
