My stay at this Extended Stay location has been a mixed experience, and I’d give it a solid three stars. The room itself is very comfortable and well-laid-out, with just enough space to feel private and functional. I especially appreciated the small efficiency kitchen — it’s compact but thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. Even a simple breakfast or a quick dinner feels easy and convenient, which makes the room feel more like a home away from home. The handicap accessibility is excellent, making moving around easy and comfortable for anyone who needs it. The amenities provided, like laundry facilities and reliable Wi-Fi, add to the convenience of staying here. The staff has also been consistently polite and helpful, always ready to answer questions or assist with any concerns. Their friendliness and professionalism make a big difference and contribute to an overall positive experience. On the other hand, there are a few areas that could be improved. When I arrived, there was someone else’s hair in the room — a small detail, but it does suggest that cleaning could be a little more thorough. Outside, some guests don’t clean up after their dogs, and cigarette butts are sometimes left on the ground. While these aren’t huge problems, they do slightly detract from the overall impression of care and cleanliness around the property. Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience has been positive. The room provides comfort, privacy, and practical functionality, and the small efficiency kitchen adds a touch of independence that makes staying here more pleasant. The environment is calm, and the staff’s attentiveness ensures that any issues are handled promptly and respectfully. Ultimately, this Extended Stay location offers a dependable and practical place to stay. Jackie displayed customer service to above and beyond what is normal. She made sure I had all the cooking utensils necessary to prepare any meal. My room was in pristine condition. Everything worked perfectly and I was able to relax in bathtub after traveling through 4 different time zones. The best was perfect for a long night rest. The hotel is the best value in the neighborhood conveniently located 1 hour from Penn Station in NYC via NJ transit in Red Bank. Returning from NYC one can hop on an academy bus from port authority and get off in under an hour. The bus station is a 10 minute walk and the train is a 30 minute walk from the hotel. The area is safe and military friendly.

We stayed here last weekend for a wedding. The room was so nasty. There were brown stains all over the sink and vanity area. Stains on the walls, chipping plaster from the ceiling, and it smelled like must, mildew, and smoke. When the company called to see how our stay was, I informed them of the cleanliness issue and they just said sorry and moved on with their questionnaire. We stayed in room 319 and the sign on the wall pointed to a totally different direction than where the room was. We got told by someone staying there that “we don’t normally see people that look like you here.” Overall, it just seemed like a shady place. Would definitely not recommend.
