Allen Fieldhouse is truly a cathedral of college basketball, and even for a non-competitive training game (Men's and Women's combined!), the atmosphere was incredible. The pre-game or intermission light and sound show was absolutely top-notch, it really set a fantastic mood and amplified the energy in the arena. The view from our seats was excellent, and the overall atmosphere felt electric. What makes this place truly special is the history. Having the names of all the KU basketball legends displayed everywhere is a powerful tribute. Walking through the concourse and taking in that deep tradition was a great moment. Whether you're a hardcore fan or just visiting for a game, the combination of the great production (lights/sound) and the tangible history of KU basketball makes Allen Fieldhouse an absolute must-see. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute!
A must visit if you are college basketball fan. Not a KU fan but had a blast. The Fieldhouse itself is very nice, clean, and updated. One of the better venues I have been to. Easy in and out too. Free parking a 10 minute walk away. A must see.
One of the most historic stadiums in the nation, really nice to be able to visit this landmark. Pretty cool how they have a museum outlining all Kansas athletics as well as the history of it. We sat in behind the hoop, this was bleacher style seating but there was enough space. Nice pregame with the Rock Chack chant as well as the Alma Mater song. Crazy to see all the banners hanging in the rafters, with the team success as well as the individual success from the players. Nice experience and everyone looking for a nice College Basketball game, this is where to start.
I've been to Kansas basketball fan since I was a child, and this is my favorite place to be in the fall. The energy is unlike any other, there's a reason why they are considered the loudest indoor sports venue in the world by the Guinness Book. Amazing, amazing experience!!
Allen Fieldhouse is a arena.
