I want to thank everyone who was staffed on 12/13/2025 from 12:00am-4:00am. I brought my cat, Jinx, in because she was breathing rapidly, coughing, and was lethargic. The lady I spoke to on the phone before I got there was very nice and patient with me. When I got there, a tech (I’m sorry I forgot her name) was quick to come place me in a room and take Jinx to the back to have her examined. She was very nice and expressed a genuine concern and care for Jinx that I really appreciate. Every step of the way, someone was coming in to keep me informed of Jinx’s condition and process. And they were very honest and informative about estimated costs for every test, x-ray, medication, and procedure they offered. Thank you to Dr. Cheyenne Melanson for caring so much about Jinx. She was patient and informative, and she went over Jinx’s x-rays and bloodwork in a way I could understand. She kept checking in on me and keeping me updated. Turns out Jinx was very constipated. I agreed to the enema. Me and Jinx were sent home with some medication that the doctor and a tech explained extremely well. I definitely recommend this place, the staff working that night/morning were some of the nicest people I have ever met! Thank you! (Jinx is happy and purring again, and enjoying some window-time.)
My beautiful tuxedo cat, Roger, had kidney stones and really bad lab numbers that indicated failure of his kidneys. We had him in the hospital for a couple of days to see if it would improve enough for surgery, and had made the decision to euthanize him if he was still too ill for surgery. That morning the lab indicated that it started going down enough to operate. He had the surgery the following day and seemed to be okay. We got him home and then he started to have problems again. We took him back and he was again with failing kidneys. We made the decision at that point to let him go. Even though we ultimately lost Roger, I know that the staff there did everything they could to save him. Of course it was expensive but that’s to be expected for the amount of care we had. Overall I felt the cost was fair. They were kind and compassionate to us and I was grateful for the compassionate way they treated Roger and me as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I would bring any other pet to them without doubt.
Animal Emergency & Surgical Center deserves more than just 5 stars. Anyone who knows me, knows my dog is my whole world. Everyone there was incredible! They treated Piper like she was their own. They were so sweet and so compassionate. Like any dog mom who thinks their dog is having a stroke, I was beside myself when we first walked in. They were so understanding and sweet to both me and my husband. We can’t recommend them enough. I’ve edited to add a little bit of an update! She’s still a little wobbly, but she’s SO much better today! She greeted me at the front door when I came home with lunch!
